  1. Hi nice looking bass can you please tell me Is this A 32" or 34" scale bass regards Jay
  2. I own and regularly gig with 2 different chowny chb1 semi acoustic short scale basses they are excellent and good value for money. i have also owned warwick star basses in the past with a 32" scale and they are equally as good. i also tried The hagstrom viking and a gibson midtown again both very nice basses, it's really down to your personal preference and budget. i havn't personaly tried any Harley Benton basses so cant realy comment on them.
  3. It doesnt matter both will work fine NL2 will have 2 wires inside the cable which is all you need The NL4 will have 4wires inside the cable for additional connection purposes
  4. my latest buy chowny cbh 1 short scale
  5. Latest Buy lovely blue metalic Chowny chb1
  6. Hi can you tell me if its the 32" or 34" Scale version Have you changed the adjustanut ? Thanks Jay
  7. I Have a set of Detroit Flats on my Rickenbacker 4003 they sound and feel as good as any other string ive tried i also have basses strung with Thomastiks, la bella , D' Addario Chromes, fender and Maruszyk flats that sound equaly as good I did try the The Olympia Flats but i didnt like them they sounded Lifeless to me . for a mid price option i would go for the Detroit flats Or Maruszyks they work as well for me as the more expensive options. Mark bass flats maybe worth a look i havent tried those yet.

  9. Hi Could you measure the width of the cover looking for a slightly wider than standard fender reproduction. The usual repros measure approx 13.5cm x 5cm Thanks jay

  11. Hi What are the marks on the headstock at the front near the machine heads looks like small dots or holes?
  12. I Tried a set of the Adagio Flats on one of my p basses, i didnt like the feel or sound of them. i do prefer the Thomastiks , which i have on a couple of basses, but the Thomastiks are expensive. i also have basses strung with Elite Detroit Flats and The Maruszczyk Flats which are both mid priced options they both feel and sound good to me. out of interest has anyone tried the Mark bass Flats?
  13. GREAT LOOKING BASS love the colour Ive got a immaculate 2015 4003 in Jetglo with original case and candy if i can move that on il snap this up regards Jay
  14. I mainly play using my fingers but for certain songs i need the extra attack sound of a picked bass. when using a pick you do loose some of tonal variation you get with finger playing. i tend to use 2 different patches on my amp, i can dial in some of the finger sounding tones when using a pick without re setting the amps eq all the time..
