1. Know Your Enemy - Rage Against The Machine For Whom The Bell Tolls - Metallica Money - Pink Floyd
2.
I like the clean new look so thank you for the effort that's been put in. My No 1 link is always 'New Posts' and I can't find it, can anyone help me here? Peter
Took me a while as well, but it seems to be "View New Content" up at the top right under the search. Most impressive though, liking the new layout.
3. Factory of Faith - RHCP, great fun although the chorus was a little confusing to start with.
4. Unfortunately, two of my favourite artists (RHCP and Metallica) are especially guilty of this. Its so obvious when you compare the CD version of Death Magnetic to the Guitar Hero version.
5. Played there last month. The Horn has a proper stage with lighting, decent PA and a good engineer. The venue isn't huge, but gets a decent crowd.
6.
What do you mean about Flea's hands?
There was a couple of minutes delay between two songs as his hands were cramping.
7. Saw Maiden Friday night at the O2, absolutely brilliant. Bruce was on fine form and Janick's solo on Blood Brothers was the best I've heard him play. Mr Harris was a giant as ever. However, Dragonfarce are without a doubt the worst band I've ever seen.
8. I really like the Gotoh bridge personally. It stops any sideways movement of the saddles, adds a bit of mass (although I am to be convinced of any vast tonal improvement), requires no drilling/filing to be installed and doesn't destroy the look of the bass in the way a Badass does.
9. I'm pretty happy with my setup, I get the tones I want without having to crank the amp at pub gigs. To be honest, I'd love a proper old school ampeg rig, but the cons (where to store it, how to transport it and the cost) vastly outweigh the small improvement in tone and the "look at my rig" grin I would have. I appear to be GAS free!
10. Went quickly, didn't it! They now have a second hand Classic Vibe Jazz in for £199, surely a bargain.
11.
So was I
So was I Killer Dwarfs supporting!
12. Al sent me two spare crossover cards for my amp free of charge and very quick delivery too. Top geezer! Many thanks, Leon
13. Sorry, can't access Basschat at work! PM sent now though. Cheers
14. I'd probably say the same, even though I am a Fender Jazz player myself. In many ways the SR500 is a much more versatile bass than a Jazz or a Precision, but as always, go and try one first.
15. Where does it need collecting from? And a free bump!
16. These guys do those stickers: http://www.inlaystickers.com/servlet/the-4...-Markers/Detail
17. I use D-tuners on both my MIMs with no problems, and I know some have tuned theirs BEAD using the bottom four strings of a 5 string set with no issues apart from a slight nut tweak, so you should be able to drop the B to an A if required like Korn and Slipknot making it AEAD.
18. I have a MB4210 with a MBC115 and have never had any problems whatsoever during the past two years. Love the tone, plenty of head room and excellent for the price.
19. Bass Big Muff on the dry/blend setting. Gets a nice Muse type sound.
20. Drums - Mike Portnoy Guitar - Tony Iommi Guitar - Jimmy Page Vocals - Bruce Dickinson and me!
21. I use a BBM, very versatile with the ability to blend the fuzz with your dry signal as well as a standard muff sound.
22. Never had any issues with mine, but had my Valvestate guitar amp repaired under warranty a while ago. Marshall were very helpful and dealt with it same day. I'd give their service department a ring if I were you.
23. The Ocean - Led Zeppelin. I just love JPJs funky tone.
24. I was going to say a Hipshot De-tuner, but decided to plump for my Line 6 GX Toneport with PodFarm modelling software. It allows me to use my PC at home or laptop when away as a practice amp, playing along to the songs on my computer at a volume that won't annoy other people in the area! I also use it in conjuction with Cubase to record demos. As far as basses go, my first Jazz bass. I was always a Precision sort of guy, but when I first tried a Jazz, the neck just fitted my hands perfectly, the neck pickup gave me somewhere to park my thumb comfortably and the variation of tone was an eye-opener.
25. I'm another of the everything on full people. I have on occasion knocked the tone down a little if using brand new strings, but that is the only time.
