Lovely sounding head, I'm in a similar predicament, I have osteo arthritis in my right shoulder and it's no fun for me humping my Trace stack around..........until I plug it in!!!
Amen to that. Great sounding rig, pain to lug around... BB -

All gone... [s]Hi there, For sale is my early '90s, pre-Gibson, slimline, Trace Elliot workhorse rig. It's been well serviced and looked after, and I've done 150 gigs and countless rehearsals with it during the last 4 years and it's super. Great tone as always from the head, with luvverly deep punchy tones from the cabs. There are some very minor scuffs to one of the grills, but the tolex is in very good condition indeed. The rig consists of: Trace Elliot AH200 Series 6 GP12 amp. Two hundred very loud Trace watts with 12 band EQ, excellent condition. With the input gain set properly you'll rarely need this above 2 on the output volume. There is some minor damage - two snapped EQ sliders affecting the 15 KHz and EQ level sliders, but these are both still adjustable with a suitable device. See pics. Briefcase sleeve to match depth of the cabs. Weighs about 13 Kg. Two Trace Elliot 1153 (1x15) cabs - both slimline to match the head. 300W each at 8 ohms. One is XLR, the other is 1/4 jack. Weigh about 27 Kg each. Also! - a Trace Elliot SMX dual compressor pedal with 18V power supply in excellent condition. Power cable, speaker cables and 18V power supply for compressor included. Total price for the rig and pedal is £580 £540 £495 or nearest sensible offer. Sorry, I'm not interested in any trades - I need to sell. Equally, I'd prefer not to split at this stage but feel free to register interest. I'm based just outside Birmingham - feel free to swing by and try. Any questions - PM me Stay groovy BB[/s]

Shazam is saying it's called "Bold as Ass" by Marco Vitali, Regan Ryzuk, Brian Delaney, Gary Foote. More info here: http://www.ascap.com...s_pp=10&start=1 I'm guessing it's a bit of copyrighted filler music...
We're talkng here about a nigh-on pristine left handed 1976 Fender Telecaster in black with a maple neck, c/w ash trays and Fender case, but no other candy. I've gone up and down for him trying to find a value for this gorgeous piece but I'm stumbling on the rough with most people trying to swing the obvious bargain out of us. They're not going to get it until we know an approximate value for something like this. You lefty's got any ideas of a ballpark value of this thing...? I haven't got any photo's but it is as I describe.
Could be £1500 - £2000, depending. Hard to tell without seeing it. But I'll take it off your hands for a couple of hundred quid... ; ) Bestaluck BB

One of our regular venues has one of these wretched limiters. It's set to 90-odd decibels, so 86 sounds a little low. Interestingly, despite me being regularly accused of being the loudest member of the band, my bass doesn't even cause it to flicker. Snare (un-miked) and guitar have it lighting up like a Christmas tree though. So I've found limiters to be more responsive to mid-to-higher frequencies. I agree with chris_b's point that sometimes scaling back the volume will tighten things up, and we have been known to play much louder than needed. However, we are a punk band, and making the ears bleed seems like a necessary courtesy sometimes ; ) It certainly doesn't help that limiters don't predict Saturday night ambient noise which lights up the limiter to 75% before we've even played a note. If you add applause and cheering to that, then it's inevitable that a cut-off beckons. Go with a 30 ft extension cable and play dumb... Bestaluck, BB

Great stuff - good luck. The nerves will go. When you love what you play, you'll never get nervous. Best of luck from another punk covers band. BB

Ooh. I might well be interested... I have two compact, vinyl, pre-Gibbo 1153 cabs, rated at 300W each at 8 ohms (one with jacks, the other with XLR connectors). Happy to trade one of 'em. Based in Birmingham, if you wanna meet half way... Can you let me know the dimensions and (gulp) the weight? Need to be able to lift it, and get it in the car. And I'll need to balance my other 1153 on the top without it wobbling or falling off. Also, should you be interested, I have another pre-Gibbo, vinyl compact cab - a 2103x (I'm sure you know thats a 2x10 with 2x5), also 300W @ 8 ohms, weighing in at 31kg... Cheers, BB -

I had some similar difficulties and found that exercising with a Powerball gyroscope helped. http://www.amazon.co.uk/b/?ie=UTF8&node=397989011&tag=googhydr-21&hvadid=4156228543&ref=pd_sl_2nobjl47yo_e Bestaluck, BB -
3. Love the idea...... if only i were younger, but Im downsizing rather than upsizing Im afraid.
Ah, I know the feeling. I can't fault the sound of my Trace gear but it's getting to be a serious pain to lug around. Regrettably I don't have the money to buy your rig without the trade, as much as I'd like to. Thanks for the reply, and let me know if you change your mind. All the best, BB

Hi there. Nice gear! Can you tell me... 1. Still available? 2. Power rating? 3. Interested in any Trace Elliot gear for trade? I have an early 90s pre-Gibson collection of TE gear in great condition. An AH200 Series 6 GP12 (very loud), two 1153 15" slimline cabs at 300W each, one 2103x slimline cab (2x10 plus 2x5), also 300W. Oh, and a dual SMX compressor pedal. Cheers, BB

Here's a spanner in the works - I'm completely the other way. I'm dominantly right-handed, but play leftie guitar and bass. Work that out if you can... I guess it's because I'm using my most capable and dexterous hand (the right) to do the manipulative work on the fretboard - making runs or shaping chords, whereas my left only has to pluck strings or hold occasionally hold a plectrum. This makes me a lefty guitarist, and I simply can't do it the other way round. Shame, cos we lefties have a wretched selection of basses to choose from... Stay groovy, BB

I sing BVs on about 2/3rds of the set, and lead vox on the other third. Generally I don't have problems with remembering lyrics (though playing and singing is sometimes tricky...) Our main vocalist still has problems remembering lyrics, and understandably doesn't want to use a music stand. I suggested to him that he type out the first line of each verse for each song he had problems with. This usually triggers his memory for the rest of it, and since it's only one line can be typed big enough to be readable from the floor. Maybe that would help...? Bestaluck, BB
