  1. Awesome gig last night. Played outside a pub right next to river severn. very responsive audience. Band never sounded so good before.
  2. Unfortunately i don't own and jazzes now. But here are my previous ones.
  3. Best cab I owned. I regret selling mine, but I can't justify it laying around doing nothing. Whoever buys this will be lucky!
  4. Doesn't matter if it's a playable or still needs a setup, for £60 you managed to get a fully working bass. That's a win in my book!
  5. April and counting. No GAS yet... and I’m glad.
  6. Some of you might have already seen this today. But here it is again. An update on my Cobia 5.
  7. Still in! 2 weeks so far. Not bought anything.... ANYTHING yet. Even strings.
  8. SOLD please close.
  9. No holes. Used a double sided tape for the pickguard.
  10. Out of the 3 rays I had only 2 things I'm not too keen about them 1. their high freq. For some reason I don't really like them. But no problem as I seldom find myself boosting the highs no matter what bass I use. 2. their fret sizes. Too big for me. But that's just me. For other people they are perfect! And I must admit they sound phenomenal on some well known records. So yeah...
  11. Will accept part trades for Fender Marcus Miller or Fender 70's with maple and pearl blocks. Preferably natural.
  12. I would so love this!
  13. *makes loud screeching noise* *body contorts to unusual shape*
  14. Dear santa.................
  15. Challenge accepted. For full disclosure, my Alpher bass should be coming 2019. But aside from that nothing else except maybe for strings.
  16. 2002 55-94 deluxe. Originally teal burst refinished by Jaydee guitars last year to this gorgeous blue! Original barts pickups and preamp. And original tweed hardcase included. I’d rather have you collect it so you can try it for yourself. But at the moment I sent it to a luthier to have it checked before I can hand it over to the new owner. Collection at Droitwich or can meet around 50 mile radius. Sorry but not interested for trades! Strictly for sale only!
  17. As for amp sim. You can go Zoom b3/b3n. Or even go helix lt or a full helix if you want to splurge. But def b3/b3n is good enough!
  18. Awesome gig last night at Upton. Dance floor was packed. And then along came the police and stopped us playing to say that there was an incident outside and advised everybody to stay inside for the meantime. Killed the mood.
  19. Nice. I've always wonted one too ever since I started playing. One day, I'll have one too. Enjoy the bass. I'm sure you will!
  20. Thanks guys. One of these days I'm going to try some out with my bass in one of the stores. Though I'm not sure which ones to go to. lol. Probably PMT or GuitarGuitar.
  21. Looking for what PA speakers + subs (if required) to purchase. I play in different bands, my main band uses an ancient Yamaha passive mixer and separate amps for home made PA speakers and monitor wedges. Being home made, they are massive and heavy boxes. They work great but it takes time to get the right mix when playing different venues (we play soul and funk). My other bands, we gig rarely. Probably once in 2-3 months. Nobody owns a PA system. And when we do gig, it's usually for a charity event or private parties with DJ's involved so the PA system tends to be provided for us . But recently we have been considering to offer the band for paid gigs. That means we have to get our own PA system. Earlier this year, I treated myself to a Helix LT and with all these in mind, I got myself thinking if it's worth going totally ampless and go FRFR for the whole band (main) since the guitar player also uses Line6 Pod. I have sold my rig to purchase a Behringer XR12 and headphone amp to go with it for in ear monitoring. Now all that is left are the PA speakers + subs. I am quite happy to purchase and own the whole PA system, that way I know that we have consistent mix every time regardless of the venue and it greatly lessens the setup time. Now the question is which one? I have been looking at the more affordable ones like Alto. Budget around £1k-1.3k. What speaker sizes and do I really need a sub? and if I do, do I only need one or two? Should I go active or passive? I would love to hear from you guys what are your suggestions for my budget. Good day all!
  22. Oh wow! Will keep an eye on it. Might be really tempted!
  23. I feel you. I have sold probably the best bass I have ever had if not one of the best MTD's out there because of the weight. (Norm Stockton Saratoga) I have left shoulder issues since I was a teenager and that little mass made all the difference. My Lakland 55-94 which is 3.8kgs on my bathroom scale can sit on my shoulder all day with no issues, while the MTD which was 4.4kgs, after 5-6 songs feels like a sack of rocks dangling. As much as I love the neck and the tone, I had to let it go for my shoulder's sake.
  24. I seriously miss this bass. It's one of the best that I ever owned!
