Total Watts

1. I'm so glad it's not a headless (MNV or the like...). Brilliant, as usual for a Leduc...
2. That's mine indeed, thanks for digging out the thread!
3. That could be arranged. I have the little sister of this one as a 5 string fretless. Would happily take part in a 3 way swap! :-) I also have a six string version which is not going anywhere. Precious...
4. Is it that bass? http://archive.acguitars.co.uk/portfolio/0147-finn-5-headless/ (a Finn, not a Recurve)
5. Bought a PJB rig (8B+M300) from Simon. Great communication, very prompt delivery, well packed. A guy you can trust! Many thanks Simon.
6. That's very flattering, but my shoe size is actually 6.5. Sorry to disappoint! ;-) Marc.
7. The tolex issue on the cab is quite common. Mine has the exact same problem, despite being fairly well looked after. Probably someone has been a bit cheap in the glue department... ;-) This is an awesome piece of kit. I usually leave the cab at home (doubles as a bedside table...), and carry the head around to drive bigger cabs. I've seen a number of condescending smiles when I arrive at a gig, only to see a similar number of jaw dropping when they hear what this tiny thing can push. Have a bump on me!
8. I met Sebastien Aquilina a couple of times, and had the opportunity to admire his work. Beautiful woods, perfect finish, and a range of sounds that are second to none but ACG, in my opinion. The only reason I don't own one of his basses is that he wouldn't build a headless one!
9. Splendid piece of kit. If I didn't have one already, I'd be all over it! Probably the most subtle compressor on this planet.
10. This was my first *very good* bass, back in 88. I'm now playing a much more expensive instrument, but the build quality of the Jack is still incredible for the price. And I'm definitely keeping mine, even if I don't play it much anymore. Lightweight, tight sound, a real pleasure to play. The 5 string version is quite disapointing though. One tiny trick: disconnecting the LED inside the control cavity increases the battery life ten-fold!
11. So here it is: - An Acoustic 116 combo, the amp itself is long gone. 1977 or 1978 vintage. http://acoustic.home...ic/BassCombo116 - A Montarbo "head", extracted from a combo. Around 100W if memory serves well. The whole thing has been sitting in various cupboards/garages for the past 10+ years, and I'm not going to move it again. Pick up from Cambridge on the 27th of September the latest. The price? £0. Free. Grab it and run! I'll try and put pics later in the week.
