Bought a PJB rig (8B+M300) from Simon. Great communication, very prompt delivery, well packed. A guy you can trust! Many thanks Simon.

That's very flattering, but my shoe size is actually 6.5. Sorry to disappoint! ;-) Marc.

The tolex issue on the cab is quite common. Mine has the exact same problem, despite being fairly well looked after. Probably someone has been a bit cheap in the glue department... ;-) This is an awesome piece of kit. I usually leave the cab at home (doubles as a bedside table...), and carry the head around to drive bigger cabs. I've seen a number of condescending smiles when I arrive at a gig, only to see a similar number of jaw dropping when they hear what this tiny thing can push. Have a bump on me!

Hohner "The Jack" Headless Bass in Black - Active/Passsive - *GONE*
punkjazz replied to dodgnofski's topic in Basses For Sale
This was my first *very good* bass, back in 88. I'm now playing a much more expensive instrument, but the build quality of the Jack is still incredible for the price. And I'm definitely keeping mine, even if I don't play it much anymore. Lightweight, tight sound, a real pleasure to play. The 5 string version is quite disapointing though. One tiny trick: disconnecting the LED inside the control cavity increases the battery life ten-fold! -

So here it is: - An Acoustic 116 combo, the amp itself is long gone. 1977 or 1978 vintage. http://acoustic.home...ic/BassCombo116 - A Montarbo "head", extracted from a combo. Around 100W if memory serves well. The whole thing has been sitting in various cupboards/garages for the past 10+ years, and I'm not going to move it again. Pick up from Cambridge on the 27th of September the latest. The price? £0. Free. Grab it and run! I'll try and put pics later in the week.

Hohner Jack Bass 4 String Headless Active. **SOLD**
punkjazz replied to phsycoandy's topic in Basses For Sale
My first *good* bass... Amazingly easy to play, light, great variety of sound. With a small adapter, you can use regular, single ball strings, And if you take care of disconnecting the battery LED, the battery can last months, if not years. Still have it, though not using it much (I became a 6 stringer many years ago). Bought a 5 string Jack at one point, but didn't like it (muddy B ). Bump for a fantastic value for money! -
Punkjazz - I thought about using a 4ohm cab, but it'd ruin the aesthetic of the 'mini svt' for me.
For sure, my setup isn't SVT-like anymore. At all. Specially as I have the two cabs oriented horizontally... But I've never been very keen on aesthetics anyway...
you can have a bump on me! great little practice amp!
I'd say it can be a lot more than a practice amp. The SVT210AV is a bit shy on the volume side, but coupled with another cab, this amp really shines. I use mine with an additional TC BC210 in relatively big pubs, and have no problem taming any of the other band members...

Fender MIM 60's RI Ltd Edition - now £475 inc P+P
How're you getting on with the Status, Marc?
Very happy with it. Did the last 3 gigs with it (only for 3 or 4 songs at a time), and it's definitely a killer. It has this incredible piano-like feeling, really fantastic when slapped. -
