The ABM600 fans are not acceptable to me in the slightest! Sometimes I'm playing with a single clarinet and the fan noise is obvious and distracting.

If you have to add a dummy load then presumably that dummy load gets the total impedance back to 16ohms even with an 8Ohm cab? Otherwise there would be no need for the dummy load at all.

I'm actually thinking about the guitar version of this. It's a fair bit cheaper and I've got no doubt it will do a fine clean tone. Afterall the early Fender amps that are now so popular for guitar started life as bass amps in many cases. When I practice on headphones it's really for sight reading and jazz band practice stuff so I'm not really fussed about anything other than a bit of compression. The Guitar model does say that the clean tones are suitable for bass or acoustic guitar too. Then I've got something I can also use for guitar. I suspect the other way round won't be nearly as useful.

I'm having some regular dots fitted in a bass at the moment -about £30 for that.

Is Luminlay noticeably better than the cheap version Ibanez are using in their EHB basses? 'Cos that stuff is awful.

Well.... I have my Supertwin... but I've ordered a replacement One10 as well! My old MB amp did sound quite different with each cab but I really liked it with both. I *think* I just preferred it with the Super Twin but it's a close run thing.

Thomann have them listed at £679 now - available in 2-3 weeks apparently. I know I've recently sold my Marcus head but I am missing that Mark Bass sound! I'll have to raise some more money at this rate - I've already spent the gains from the sale!
