  1. I am aware. But the post didn't even mention cone excursion. Cone size alone really does mean nothing without considering excursion as well. Using 1 manufacturers figures alone mean nothing too. If all of eminence's cones have the same excursion and the only thing that changes is diameter then of course more air will be moved with a larger cone. But if a 10 has lots more excursion than the 15, then the 10 can move more.
  2. Mine's the regular Nano (old one) and it just won't fit. Most annoying!
  3. Can anyone else hear Alex's teeth itching?
  4. I've got an early LT XL when they still came with a DC supply. However - when mounting it on the bottom of a small board - like a Pedal Train Nano - the charging point is in the wrong place. Can't get to it without removing the supply. Not enough room between the metal parts of the board. Stupid design! The charging input should have been at one of the ends.
  5. There's one in the classifieds and because of that I very carefully measured up my boot space... Alas, not enough room.
  6. Ooo. Plenty of B's like that. Not sure I've heard of a tapered A apart from the Newtone. Do Kalium do them? They seem to have far too much choice!
  7. No idea - I just like the idea of built in tilt back ones. Don't have to bend over with a taller cab too.
  8. I did think a lot about that - but in the end I decided that if (a big if) I ever gig on guitar again then I'm not sure I'd want to gig anything other than my JCM800. And due to medical issues - I want wheels. I can cope with the in and out of the car bit, but more than that - with the amount of surgery I've had over the last few years - wheels are important. Cannot be arsed with sack barrows though. It's just more to pack. The Big Twin 2 was also thought about - but boot space is limited. It would fit, just, but not with the other stuff I have to fit in as well.
  9. This thread is a fantastic example of someone talking themselves into something! Nicely done!
  10. Beans are vile. The only possible good thing about the 'thing we cannot talk about' is that Haricot beans are not grown in the UK and there's a really good chance the import costs and thus cost of a tin of baked beans will go through the roof to the point where anyone who makes them has to discontinue that product line.
  11. Might need a quid or 2 from them to crowdfund the divorce!
  12. It’s good, and a lot more expensive. As is the Rockbass power supply.
  13. Votes So far, 16 yes and. 3 no. As before I’m assuming the wife is a no, and now that I think about it, Alex is probably a yes!
  14. I always ask what key it’s in. Then I also remember that quick passing notes are largely ignored and just play what I feel like.
  15. I’ve got a couple of Poweradd slim 2 units. They are about £8 and are 5000mAh Then a converter cable and a daisy chain. On my small board, just use 1 with a spare. On a bigger board I use 2 and split the power so the low draw ones are on 1 supply, and my digi pedal on the other. I get a couple of hours out of a charge.
  16. I use phone battery charging packs with a 9V converter cable.
  17. Oh, I will be keeping the pair of One10 cabs, at least until I’ve used the ST in anger. Whether that is this year or next only time will tell.
  18. It was something in the mids that I couldn’t dial out. Was a few years ago so difficult to fully remember. I had a pair of HD112 and swapped to the pair of CN112 for weight saving but didn’t like them nearly as much. They just didn’t have the same weight to the sound. Then the BF One10 came along and sounded great and was even lighter. I did think about the SC and BB2, but decided that if I was getting a bigger cab, then I want wheels too. I ruled out the Six10 for transport and boot space reasons. I still need to get me and 2 passengers in the car with a bass, cab, amp etc. As it happens I’m just about to do a full measure up of the boot just to check everything before I take the plunge.
  19. I had a pair of CN12 for a while. They were ok, but I wasn’t massively impressed.
  20. But I like old P bass slap! Freddie Washington, not Marcus! And it’s only for 2 tunes in the massive set list for the big band.
  21. Send it back. Save money and get a Sandberg Superlight. Mine is 2.9kg and it sounds amazing.
