Buy one. its brilliant. The perfect lounge amp.
-
I’ve got one and it’s excellent, but it isn’t valve.

I never buy a bass without asking the weight. I’ve had 5 hernia repairs and I am really picky. But basses vary so much. I’ve had 12lb precisions, and my current one is under 8lb. Wood is very different.

Sorry to hear that. Keep buggering on as best you can!

It all went wrong when Strymon managed to convince people to pay £300 for a delay pedal. And of course the Klon and the KOT which proved £8 worth of parts and having to wait in line to own one creates stupidity in humans who want something NOW!

Ida Nielsen on the Sandberg. It's her signature model. -
It was a fun night. Raised a load of cash for a charity. Best bit of the night wasn't a performance as such - some idiot was having a go at the PA guys. They had provided the rig for free to help the charity. Bloke was doing the "you don't know what you're doing. Have you even got any good kit????" PA Guy - "This is our smallest rig. Our biggest one is currently in Wembley Stadium with Robbie Williams!" As passive-aggressive mic-drops go, that was ace!

Shortly after that I had to play with 2 proper beardy jazzers! So jazz they even bought chairs onto the stage to sit down!! It was a strange night!

Can't believe I found this... This was a VERY DRUNK jam night in 2008. You can't actually see me until the very end and as the bass is a bit quiet you can only hear the full tone for the first few seconds. Anyway - It was a Status Fretless with La Bella Flats (I am not joking!!) into a Boss LS2 line selector. In 1 loop there was a EHX Metal Muff, in the other the Digitech BSW. Then when combined into a compressor to even them out a bit. In hindsight the swirly bit is a bit loud compared to the rest, but I like it. Let the embarrassment commence... (I need to confirm exactly how p1ssed we were.... as a mattress. We had never played together before, not even a rehearsal).

Selling a set of Sandberg Black Label jazz pickups. These were removed from my Sandberg California TT4. Rockinger in Germany seem to be the only place that sells Sandberg pickups and the prices seem to range from 85 euro to 108 euro (about £77 to £98) for each pickup. (£158 to £196 for a pair). I can't find the exact model on the Rockinger website though. They are a really good pickup. I only swapped them because I was trying to get that Bobby Vega sound going and he used EMGs in his jazz. As you can see they are slightly different in length like Fender ones. I'm looking for £100 including UK delivery. I will also throw in FOR FREE the Sandberg 2 band preamp with passive tone. CAVEAT - When I removed it from the bass I was not exactly careful in disconnecting the wires. I have no idea how to connect it up again and I don't have a wiring diagram. It may not even work anymore. So it's free and if it doesn't work there's no returns! It will come with a stereo jack socket. You'll have to figure it out yourself! You'll need your own knobs. I have no idea where they went. ta

I have no idea what the going rate is for this so please correct me if I need it! Stack knob jazz set. 250K volume and 500K tone on each stack They have been fitted to my Stingray 5 which has now been put back to stock. Does £45 including delivery sound right? If anyone wants the PJ cut stingray scratchplate (custom order from WD Music at about £60!!!) then that can be sold as well for another £10. ta

Selling a pair of Nordstrand Big J Blade pickups for a 5 string. Only the bridge pickup has been installed before. The neck has not been used. I bought these from the USA a couple of years ago and after paying VAT and import they set me back about £225. That was before they became available in the UK at £180! (ar$e) They are the "Clean and Clear" model and sound great. The bass they were in will be sold so these are up for sale as a set. Full details here: https://nordstrandaudio.com/collections/5-string-jazz-bass-pickups/products/big-j-blade-5 Neck pickup (never opened). Bridge pickup Here's a demo of the 4 string set on a Maruszczyk Looking for £120 ish for the pair including UK delivery. I have the box too. Complete with the massively annoying bright red shredded paper packing material that Nordstrand likes so much! _____________________________________________ Also for sale an Aguilar AG 5P-60CL 5 string precision pickup. It is a vintage 60s wind with lovely mids. This is a NARROW precision pickup so please make sure it would fit your bass. It is designed for 17.5mm to 18.5mm string spacing. It will not fit Fender 5 string jazz basses. Dimensions are here: http://www.aguilaramp.com/wp-content/uploads/aguilar-pickup-5p-60cl.pdf The Bass Gallery have the regular spaced one at £135 - so I'm looking for about £80 including UK delivery. Please feel free to make offers. I won't be offended. Deals available if you want all of them. ta
