Spoilsport!!

That's a really good question. I've not measured them. Got to be worth a look. Although the Nordy J is part of a set. The neck one has never been fitted to anything. Might do ok selling the entire set and maybe keeping the P pickup if it fits in the Mezzo. I just hope I still don't like the Ray as a Ray when it's all reversed!!
-
Very nice!
-
Thank you!
-
I’m going to reverse the mods. Or more accurately get my tech to do it! Hopefully next week sometime.
-
Lazy man alert... Have you got a link please?
-
Overplaying? Bah. If it’s worth doing then it’s worth overdoing!

Herd immunity without a vaccine is a myth. Ask any epidemiologist. As it happens one of my mates is working on this at Oxford. There is no indication that those who catch it keep sufficient antibody levels to help the next time round. No long term immunity at all. And the other thing - organ damage. Most won't die as you say, but a large amount of the survivors will end up on the transplant lists and some will be on oxygen for the rest of their shortened lives. So if a person survives it once a 2nd run will hit harder as the lungs are already damaged from the first time round. Kidney damage is also massively common. I haven't posted the actual picture from the first Covid related lung transplant as it is really nasty. But it's in this link. This is the type of damage even survivors can be left with. Obviously not as severe as the pic, but nevertheless life changing. No work. Benefits. Treatment costs etc etc. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/11/health/coronavirus-lung-transplant.html It really isn't as simple as the "let the weak die" approach some seem to be keen on.

No trades please. Feel free to make offers though. I won’t be offended. Boss SD-1 Waza Craft (SOLD) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ AMT Legend Series R2 (SOLD) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ TateFX Brexit Means Brexit No longer available with these graphics. Might be a collector's item, might be a cruel joke. It's a souped up turbo charged Rat. It's got more of everything a Rat has. It's also great on bass. Never gigged - house use only. No velco £90 including signed for delivery. BIG PRICE DROP TO £65 DELIVERED ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ TC Helicon Harmony Singer (version 1) - SOLD --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vox Big Bad Wah The Joe Satriani signature wah pedal. 2 different voices and 2 different inductors. Also swaps between "Wah 1 and 2" - 2 kicks in a useful drive / boost. Long discontinued, it has some scratches. The feet were removed and I have no idea where they are. There is velcro on the bottom. I've ordered some stick on feet and if they turn up from whoknowswhere in time I'll pack them with it. It's a great wah, but now too big for my space needs. And I find I'm not using wah much anymore. It is heavy so postage won't be cheap so I'm looking for £105 including signed for delivery. PRICE DROP TO £75 including delivery UK ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Digitech The Weapon Signature pedal for the bloke in "Disturbed" Massive drive sounds with an unusual sort of Sitar to Drive ramping effect (manual is online) when the pedal is held down. 7 different drive types. Distortion tones are not remotely subtle. It's probably quite OTT for many people but I thought it was great fun, especially when blended with a clean tone as well to bring back some much needed sanity. Long discontinued. £85 including signed for delivery. BIG PRICE DROP to £50 including delivery. It's quite heavy so delivery won't be cheap ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Zoom Tri Metal Boxed with the manual. Capable of very high gain with a powerful EQ including mid frequency control. Scoop it for Machinehead or boost the mids for leads. It's an old pedal now so there are some chips in the edges. £60 including signed for delivery. PRICE DROP £50 inc delivery DOD FX25 Envelope Filter. I'm really torn about this. Difficult to get one still with the battery door, box and paperwork. One of my favourite filters. Great on guitar and amazing on bass. Flea cannot be wrong! It's old and well used. The rubber on the bottom has had velco on it at some point in the past so the rubber is discoloured / has residue on it: It sounds amazing and is really touch sensitive in a way that many other filters I've owned just can't do £75 including signed for delivery. PRICE DROP to £65 inc delivery ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No trades please. But please fee free to make offers. If you are outside of the UK then please ask for a shipping quote. Paypal only.

I know what it does. I don't know the difference between the HF / horn and a tweeter. Or why one is a better choice than the other.
-
Mmmm sausages!
-
I am quite happy not understanding and not caring about the difference! (err, what is the difference? In terms that a 3 year old would understand.)

Precision scratchplate/pickup position switched

Gigink are great. I've got a few of their plates for my strat. -
Would be good if Alex released some hi quality WAV files with identical mic placement to remove any placement and youtube process issues. Ideally with the BB2 tweeter control at nil, 50% and 100%. If the BB2 sounds like the SC with the high end at nil, then that would really be perfect for me.
-
What were you listening with? I'm curious. I've listened twice - once on studio monitors (Yamaha HS7 pair) and once with some Grado headphones. I thought the low end and mids of the SC and BB2 were very similar, but the BB2 had a crisper top end.
-
Interesting. I thought the BB2 was far clearer than the SC.
-
I’ve been adding up stuff to sell. It seems I have about £1500 worth of pedals I don’t use! 😳 Time to get selling.
-
Gregor is great. He's in PR for Sandberg too. Really quick to answer questions about the products.
-
I've just put a set on my Ibby Mezzo. I'm liking them a great deal.
-
Of course. The mods are quite hard to miss!
-
Possibly. But then again the Precision aguilar is made for narrower spacing and there's not many basses about that would need it. The Nordy is the bridge pickup from a set. As it's a blade type it fits just about everything. I already had to sell my dream bass due to medical issues - a Marleaux Consat Custom 5. As good as the Stingray is I doubt anything will make me feel as bad as that did.
-
I've been swapping some emails with Alex. Apparently the treble of the BB2 will sound just like the treble of the SC when the BB2 HF control is at Nil. The 10 inch cones have a little more treble than the SC (6Khz -v- 4Khz) and the BB2 goes up much higher to 20Khz. To my ears - in the video at least - the 10s sound a little rolled off in the lows. Like a more gentle slope HPF starting at a higher freq than the others. Kind of smoother low end rather than a wallop right at the bottom. No doubt everybody else's ears will hear it differently!
-
That's interesting - not far off what I'm doing. I play with an educational trust in several ensembles. The biggest is the 25 piece big band, but there are smaller ones with only 3 or 4 other players too. It's in the big band that sometimes I would like a bit more cut than I'm getting. But as I play in at least 3 ensembles on the same day I wouldn't be carrying 2 different speaker rigs with me. Too much faffing!

Pretty much - the neck pickup was once a humbucker so the rout there is a bit bigger than just the P shape, but not by a lot. The original EBMM tuning heads had different screw holes so that isn't invisible unless the original tuners go back on. The Hipshots make the bass half a pound lighter than the originals so I'm not sure if anyone would want the original tuners back on it anyway. I suppose I'm partly thinking about the cost of the Aguilar and Nordy pickups currently in it. They weren't cheap!
