  1. Ooo! What are the different gigs? That might help me decide.
  2. I have completely fallen in love with my Ibanez Mezzo 5 string. I'm finding the 32 inch scale to be far comfier, and the 7lb weight is amazing as I've had far too much surgery to make even normally light basses comfortable. I find myself considering selling my much modified EBMM Stingray 5 - it is now a passive PJ with a stack knob loom and Hipshot Ultralite tuners. I still have the original preamp and pickup so I could put it back to almost original spec and sell the passive pickups separately (Old photo from when I bought it). Clearly I couldn't do anything about the routing under the scratch plate, but when the mods were done I made sure that at least visually nothing would prevent it from going back to just being a stingray. Or I could leave it as is as see if anyone likes the Ray neck and 17.5mm spacing as a PJ? Or include the EBMM pickup / preamp etc and let a buyer decide if they want to put it back to original. Of course I realise that it won't reach unmolested Ray 5 prices. What do you think? Put it back to being a ray? Or leave as is? (PS - I do have a selling sub so I'm not trying to avoid selling fees. I haven't completely made my mind up yet)
  3. I'm giving serious thought to selling my pair of One10 cabs to fund a BB2. As we're in lockdown not having a cab for a while won't really matter as I can keep playing at home with my Helix and studio monitors. MrsF would certainly like the idea of swapping 2 cabs out for 1 cab in.
  4. Same could be said of all manner of successful bands with a trademark sound. AC/DC for example. You're not missing anything though. If you don't like it, you don't like it. And that's ok.
  5. In my studio monitors - the top end seems to be as normal. The bottom is a bit lightweight, but then again so is the kick drum. I'm wondering if there is a bit of low cut going on, either in the room or maybe even in the video algorithm.
  6. After some trial and error I'm using EZDrummer 2 Helix Native NeuralDSP Parallax NeuralDSP NTS Someone else does the mixing and mastering so I just concentrate on writing and recording.
  7. I have the normal gauge ones on my P. Love them.
  8. That sounds like a much better idea than just a tweeter control. I need to sell some other stuff now!
  9. Have you got a pic of the tweeter control on the BB2? There isn’t one on the BF site. Will it go fully off?
  10. Two10 -v- Super Compact -v- Big Baby 2 I was thinking about the SC as my next cab, but this vid is making me think more about the BB2 - especially if I can turn the tweeter off when I want to.
  11. Alex seems to have something like this in his latest vid. Ask him!
  12. https://www.jimdunlop.com/mxr-cae-boost-line-driver/ Good bit of kit.
  13. Got some medium scale ones for the Mezzo. Very nice!
  14. Guitar blues with some keys, or blues piano?
  15. Yes. But also many FOH guys are compressing the bass in the PA whether the player likes it or not. A good mix needs it IMHO.
  16. Vat is applied to the item AND the shipping. AFAIK the only escape is if the item has already been into the UK / EU and VAT has already been collected on it. So an item bought new in the UK, vat has been paid, then sold used to someone in the USA and then just coming back. Good luck finding the paperwork that HMRC would accept! No sense of humour that lot!
  17. I'd say the Aguilar 60s wind but it's very similar to the Fender one.
  18. D’addario Pro Steels would be good for brash punk sounds. 45 to 100 would be a common gauge. Can get them on amazon.
  19. Here you go Warning - it's full of nerds!
  20. There's a dedicated thread to the C4 in the Effects section.
  21. Sandberg do. I don't like them though - or the SD QP for that matter. They have too much low end and not enough mids. Don't sound like a P at all to me.
