When you get a mo, can you weigh it? I'm very curious about these - especially lightweight 5 strings. As it happens I have an incoming Mezzo 5 (Medium scale) and from what I gather from the specs the neck profile is the same even with the same 18mm bridge spacing, just the scale is different. If I like the Mezzo5, and the EHB is light enough I can foresee a purchase!

I know that feeling! It's coming from GAK as they had stock and because they actually answered my questions about it. Unlike some other retailers who actually answered my emails to tell me they didn't have time to answer!!!

@therealting I've given in and ordered one. Should be here on Wednesday with a bit of luck. This will be my first medium 5 string ever so I'm very curious about how the low B will do. I like the D'addario's that come as standard, but I have a bigger B in the house anyway to experiment. Although I think it is a Tapered. I never used to like tapered strings, but on my Stingray a tapered B sounds much better and with less annoying overtones. So I'm open minded.

I've had Pod2, XT and XT Pro. The amp models in particular are night and day with the Helix. But as per any sound you may still prefer your version. It's easy to get hung up about the accuracy of amp models rather than whether the sound is good. But the IR capabilities, multiple routing for even 4 parallel paths, Cab sims on the feed to the PA and no cabs on a feed to a power amp / real cab and USB to a DAW... all at the same time is amazing.

Could be I suppose. I really like the look of them - especially as the new Stingray Specials have increased the nut width to the point where I don't want one (gutted - I was really looking forward to the new lower weight). But knowing my luck the Fenders will be too heavy. It's not like they will be churning out enough to increase the odds of some super light woods.
