  1. Lottery type gambling with prizes require compliance with the various Gaming Acts and regulations. Non compliance can lead to massive fines.
  2. Having both is awesome! i would love my DG amp with the MB Marcus EQ. The M900 bass control is a bit high.
  3. Are they any good for a bit of noodling while watching telly? Or taking on work courses etc? Any alternative to the Fly amp? ta.
  4. I find La Bellas to sound uneven out of the packet and then start to sound similar after a few weeks. It’s always the E that is different too start with. I went back to Thomastiks anyway.
  5. If it needed that much protection I wouldn’t have bought it in the first place. Rack mount kit would be far less hassle.
  6. Thread bump time. I am loving the EMGs but I also fancy the ability to do EQ changes from the bass when I'm on a tight stage. With that in mind I've now got an EMG BQC system to fit in it. Vol / Balance / Stacked Bass & Treble / Stacked Mid and Freq. Now it definitely needs the battery box being wired up to make room in the cavity. As my iron isn't working and I don't have any shrink wrap I'll be dropping it off to my favourite tech over the weekend. And as there are only 2 wires that need soldering - the rest is all solderless - he will laugh at me for not doing it myself. The stacked knobs supplied by EMG are a bit naff looking, but at the same time they are really light weight so that helps my obsession too! I'll have to play tomorrow's rehearsal within something else while it is getting done.
  7. What extra £150? I ordered the original Marcus 800. The shop contacted me to say they didn't have any but they had spoken to the distributor and they would like to offer me the Gold Line version for the same money! So I said yes! My Sandberg is getting an upgrade this weekend (EMG preamp to go with the EMG pickups) so it will be interesting to see how it all works together.
  8. I did get the gold line. They are different. Has a semi parametric instead of the Millerizer scoop control.
  9. Loved: Demeter VTBP M- 800 D (Still hate myself for selling it). Like a lot: Darkglass M900 and Mark bass Marcus Limited Goldline Not bad: Genz Benz Shuttle and Genz Streamliner Didn't like: TecAmp Puma and Mark Bass F1
  10. The BF one10 is what I'm using with my big band. I have a pair but indoors with an audience of 180-200 I don't need it. If we are playing outside then I take the other one as well.
  11. I'd love one, but ignoring the price for a moment, there is no way I'm going back to carrying that sort of weight ever again!
  12. My EBMM Stingray 5 is a smidge over 8.5lb (yes, the 5 string! Yes it has been modified) My precision is 7 3/4 lb And my Sandberg TT4 jazz is about 6.5 lb. I won't buy another bass over 8lb anymore.
  13. EBMM should discontinue the Sterling and just re-introduce the SLO neck option for the new Stingray Specials. Especially if they are not going to do a lightweight update to the Sterling.
  14. https://ebssweden.com/content2/welcome-home-to-the-ebs-802-high-dynamics-linear-bass-amp/ $2500
  15. I use a 1x10 with a drummer, and another 20 brass and reeds players too. No no issues at all.
  16. She's a great player. Her solo stuff is pretty good too. Certainly fresher than the Satriani / Vai stuff that is sounding a bit tired now.
  17. Looks are about 10th on my list of things to worry about when it comes to buying a bass. 1: Weight 2: Balance 3: Neck profile / nut width 4: Number of strings 5: Tone 6-9 whatever is annoying me. 10: colour 11 fingerboard colour
  18. Some jazz. Trumpet, bass, piano. No percussion. Pelt is a phenomenal trumpeter.
  19. Just read it will be £244 per band member / crew / driver etc for each visa for EU bands to play here.
  20. There's a WANTED section in the classifieds. Need to put your request there.
