    Definitely confusing. I'm not interested in mixing on headphones as I have proper monitors for that, but I do want something good for vocal recording. I'm not sure if flat is the way to go or whether something with a mid hump might actually help when concentrating on the vocal. I need to read more!

    I love Status neck (and bass) sounds. Clear and punchy. No wolf notes. Brilliant. Just a shame they've got a square-ish neck profile these days. Can't get on with that at all. No idea if they use the same profile for the P / J / Ray necks though.

    I know nothing about this subject but.... would the 32ohm version of the DT770 have sounded different? I'm in the market for a good set of isolating cans for tracking vocals and the more I read, the more I'm confused!

    Selling my (I believe) unique ThorpyFX The Veteran Si. Why is it unique? Because it has gold footswitches and a purple / mauve-ish chassis. When I bought this new from Adrian Thorpe he called me and informed me he had run out of the usual colour chassis and would I consider a different colour chassis. I did. @ThorpyFX can verify this if you need that. I'm moving it on simply because I need some good vocal recording mics and I need to raise money. Comes with the box and instructions. It's a fantastic pedal but needs must. £170 ono including Special Delivery in the UK. If you want to collect if from Northants I can knock the postage off. ta

    I do wish EBMM would update the Sterling to be lightweight like the ray. OR at least make the SLO neck available on the Ray all the time.

    Weird isn't it! I've had 5 string Rays that have been lighter.

    Depends on the individual preset. Even among the crap on the Helix there are some good ones.

    I use wet & dry paper. Really really fine grain. Not going through the finish, just removing the gloss. Nothing needed afterwards.

    Mono for me. I tend to use the Mono Sleeve. It's lighter weight than the Vertigo although not as rigid. But I never put it down anywhere.

    The Hotone Thunder Bass is great fun. 5W and it sounds like a SVT. With a good cab it’s surprisingly loud.

    I quite like the existing scratchplate but is I was going to change it then BWB would be my choice. I don't like the feel of metal plates and tort is only for deviants.

    Selling my lovely Marshall SC20H to raise funds for my home studio. I'm the first owner and it's only been used in the house. I bought it in June 2019. It's in excellent condition aside from a scratch on one of the corner protectors. Full specs are here: https://marshall.com/marshall-amps/products/amps/studio/sc20h Basically it's a 20W (switchable to 5W) JCM800. It sounds amazing alone, and even better when the proper 800 thing is done - with a great drive in the front end. But the low input is surprisingly nice for clean tones with a strat. Collection only from Northants. £525 ono seems to be the going rate for a used one. __________________________________________________________________ Also selling a Jet City 2x12 cab - "JCA24S+" model. (Snappy title!) STOCK PHOTO I'll get a proper pic later. It's a stereo / mono 2x12 that also has an XLR output on it with a speaker sim for recording. I've never used that feature. The cones are "Jet City Custom Eminence" - I have no further information. It's only been used in the house and it's in near perfect condition. It works very well with the Marshall. Collection only from Northants. £120 ono. If anyone wants them both a deal can be done.
