  1. https://guitar.com/news/gear-news/warwick-gnome-namm-2020/ XLR and USB on them. I've never had a Warwick amp, but these look interesting, and tiny. Most of my gas seems to be amp related these days!
  2. It does feel a bit like a Kickstarter approach. I hope he manages to deliver the units on time.
  3. This used to be mine, and it is 100% the best bass I have ever played, with a B that shames Dingwalls. If I didn’t have medical issues that meant I needed a super light bass I would have been buried with it. Good luck with the sale!
  4. I see Sandberg have a new model - the Lionel. 30 inch scale P bass https://reverb.com/news/sandberg-guitars-releases-new-lionel-short-scale-bass-updates-existing-lines-namm-2020 I quite fancy trying that. Unlikely to be silly money either. I'm really hoping that at some point Musicman will do a lightweight Special update to the Sterling. The smaller body and the narrower nut would be perfect for me.
  5. Horrible shape, stunningly beautiful colour.
  6. Very sad news, but this did make me chuckle...
  7. Rumours are 1500 Euro. So a bit more than a Helix, but loads less than Fractal. I need to start selling stuff. Mind you I doubt it will reach the shops until September at the earliest.
  8. Some guitar amp builders do think this is theft! Some think even amp models that haven’t been profiled are theft. While the builders still use derived amp circuits from the 50s!
  9. A competitor to Helix / Kemper / Fractal units. Amp and cab sims, FX, can be used as a posh FX box or as a preamp direct for recording or into a PA or a power amp and traditional speakers. From the limited info so far - the amp and cab sims are likely to be based on NeuralDSP's own plugins but in a stage friendly format. NeuralDSP is owned by Doug Castro - the man also behind Darkglass so I imagine that bass will be catered for quite a bit - unlike some other modellers who seems to treat it as an afterthought. It also claims to be a profiler like the Kemper - so you record your real amp into the unit, and then the unit saves that "profile" - effectively creating a new amp sim that you can tweak from there. Hire an unaffordable amp - profile it, and keep the sounds forever. Can't wait to try one!
  10. Can't wait to know more about it! Looks great - and 4 rigs simultaneously! That's what I love!
  11. It’s a nice bass, but 2K for the simplest bass since the Precision? Im not convinced.
  12. The rather long thread on it from a while ago... I have the book - it's lovely!
  13. I might have to get a couple of the demos to see what the fuss is about. I've got a great pair of monitors and a halfway decent interface so this could be fun.
  14. The Neural guitar plugs in are fantastic. The bass ones are equally good, but so far they have concentrated so much on the metal players that if the new unit is for guitar and bass I hope it's a bit more versatile. The DG bass distortion sound is in danger of becoming as ubiquitous as the boosted Dual Rectifier was in the late 90s when it was very difficult to tell what band it was anymore.
  15. Nope - it means that NeuralDSP / Darkglass are about to get into the market for modelling. Line 6 have only recently completely upgraded the core program so I can't see Helix 2 coming yet. But I'm sure we'll find out at NAMM.
  16. Me Neither. Seen a few on facebook though. I really hope they were effectively built to order otherwise there's several tons of bass cabs out there, weighing about as much as an Ampeg 810, with about as much value these days too.
  17. And the Helix main main Eric noticed.... If they are going into hardware this might cost me a fortune!
