  1. The release notes are here. FOLLOW IT EXACTLY! https://line6.com/support/page/kb/effects-controllers/helix/helixhx-280-release-notes-r913/
  2. Bookmark this calculator! http://www.speakerimpedance.co.uk/?act=two_parallel&page=calculator
  3. Some you can. Others you can't and you'll get distortion of a lack of headroom. If it's a valve pedal I doubt it very much. May even damage it.
  4. I'd like to hear the amp with a P bass too. Just for curiosity really.
  5. You are quite right! But they've increased the Low Mid to 400? That's higher than the LM. I like control at the 180-250 area.
  6. They've gone back to the original silly EQ centres for this model then. Should have adopted the Little Marcus ones for everything. Although I have to say the new Stu Hamm head looks pretty cool.
  7. Yup - but others don't Marshall don't give anything for free - but their tour support is amazing.
  8. ha! Although I managed to buy a brand new, unfitted set of Lollar Blackface strat pickups for about £65 (RRP is about £280) because they had been badly described!
  9. Noting to do with competitors - from a seller perspective it's just thick. If 1 person wants that info, there's a good chance someone else does too.
  10. Bit of both. Excessive questions can mean a buyer who hasn't done any work, but it can also easily mean a poorly drafted advert. What annoys me more is that if I have to ask a question about an item, the person selling then doesn't have the good sense to update the advert with that info for others. Cut and pasting the specs into an advert takes 5 seconds and saves the seller a huge amount of time because 99% of the questions have then been answered. So on balance I'm in the 'the advertiser is to blame for not including all the info' camp. And don't get me started on the "If you are looking at this you know what it is..." type advert. Flogging's too good for them.
  11. PRS... and far more importantly THIS IS A GIBSON: It's the Gibson Jimi Hendrix model that was shitcanned before release.
  12. It's not that simple. IP protection requires that the holder takes prompt action when there is a breach. Gibson have decided to take action about 40 years too late. They already lost against PRS when their own lawyer admitted that only an idiot would confuse them at the point of sale. At the moment the decisions of the courts in the US basically says that the headstock is protected but the rest isn't, and Gibson just lost the copyright on the Flying V in the EU as well. In their main action against Dean, Gibson have gone further and claimed that Dean are actually trying to pass themselves off as Gibson products. That might be the most stupid idea I've ever heard. I've also never played a Dean that was as variable in quality as a Gibson. The genie is well and truly out of the bottle. Philips lost the rotating / circular razor copyright, and Lego lost their brick / connection design when they tried to stop "compatible" products being on sale. I can well imagine this being a massive own goal with the Courts confirming explicitly that there is no copyright in a guitar apart from the headstock. Then all the makers who have already shifted to a tweaked design may go back to making the older shapes again. Gibsons are getting more expensive by the minute, and the competition are cheaper and often better built. They need to concentrate on making a good and value for money product again.
  13. That’s what I’m hoping! Waiting for the amp will give me a chance to learn a surprisingly tricky new arrangement of “Sir Duke” for my big band. Wrong key, double time section, drum solos!
  14. Greg - that is an annoyingly large signature on your post! Takes up half a screen! EDIT - actually it takes up an entire screen!
  15. I've got a pair of BF One10 I'm going to go for it. 7 working days wait time though! I do want to try the Legacy but with Andertons now saying end of October I want a new toy now!
  16. I don't like Tweeters! Silly hissy things. So No - I have't got them. But that's a very good point. I've just had a look at my cab specs and they top out at 6Khz. No point being worried about that then!
  17. The Millerizer seemed to cut the mids and boos the bass - but also boost the treble all the way up at 12 Khz. The regular EQ doesn't go that high. I suppose ultimately would MM put his name on it if he couldn't get it to sound how he wanted? Probably not. I might give it a go. Can always send it back!
