  1. I had ordered the Little Marcus 800. Alas the shop has been informed by the supplier that there is no firm delivery date. They've offered the new Marcus Limited instead. The EQ points are all the same as the Little Marcus (good!) but the "Millerizer" control has been removed and replaced with a Semi Parametric. The Old School control is still there. http://www.markbass.it/product-detail/marcus-limited-800/ I like the Miller slap sound, but I'm also aware that it's not really suitable for my band situation so that's less important at the moment. But I do want to make sure I can get the traditional Miller sound out of it too - so in idiot terms like a 3 year old could understand it - how does a Band Pass filter work (in the older model) and from the specs of the new model does it look like a similar sound can still be achieved? thank you!
  2. Love playing with people and for people. Hate the travel, loading unloading etc etc
  3. Does anyone make good ones for any bass? I like them a lot but I haven’t got one for my Sandberg.
  4. Different EQ once again. Instead of the Old School / Millerizer controls. My 800 should arrive late next week. I could have got it quicker from elsewhere but I had Andertons points to spend too.
  5. How are you mojomojo people setting your amp up first? Just flat or are you doing something else with it?
  6. Andertons website now updated to 10th October!
  7. Well with the delays I’ve spent my money on a Little Marcus 800. Ill start saving again for the Legacy now! 😂
  8. I've actually got a MojoMojo but I've never tried it on bass. Might have to try it.
  9. I’m guessing Christmas then! Although some Talk Bass guys have got theirs already.
  10. https://musiciansunion.org.uk/Home/News/2019/Jul/Call-for-Information-After-Military-Tattoo-Adverti MU response
  11. I think the B3K at low drive does that far better than the VMT. I use the B3K circuit all the time in my big band - low gain, low blend, tone at about 10 o' clock. Gives just enough bite to cut through without sounding bright. Pedal wise - if you can find an old Zoom Power Drive PD-01 then you can get a lovely round tone on that. Gain to taste and treble down. In fact there is one on ebay at the moment: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/zoom-power-drive-pd-01-rare-overdrive-pedal/192981858593?epid=1323321713&hash=item2cee9d7921:g:RQoAAOSwc2NdJFeh
  12. Sounds pretty good to me!
  13. I played a Zon Hyperbass with a big band for a while.
  14. 20 frets. Sometimes I really want 21 for that other E!!
  15. Give them the Brexit Party's mail email address.
  16. Andertons are listing the Xotic BB Bass preamp at £129 rather than the RRP of £210.00. I've never tried one, but I'm quite tempted at that price! https://www.andertons.co.uk/brands/xotic-effects/xotic-bb-preamp-bass-pedal
  17. Just keep £500 in the re-valve time pot!
  18. Never going to happen at that price! The 'Bergs are cheaper than US Fenders anyway so I wouldn't call them expensive.
  19. That's a Sandberg TT Superlight. And they are under 7 lb! (mine is 6.8 lb) Also available as TM (J and MM) and a P or PJ - as special orders.
  20. I used a Digitech BSW for Deeper Underground. It got close enough as long as I was careful with picking dynamics.
  21. Make sure you play it in E Flat though. If your guitarist wants it in E - sack him and get a better player.
  22. Black Velvet is just the back pickup on a jazz. Bass and mids boosted, treble turned down a bit. I think the original was recorded on a fretless, but a fretted is close enough.
