  1. This one is making me want to spend money more than the C4. I cannot abide mucking about with an app. Hopefully they'll get in the shops soon enough.
  2. New vid up
  3. That's interesting. I'm saving for a 5 string so I hope the new wood choice is as good. I like the finish on my cedar one -I've got the black. The grain comes through a little and it looks great.
  4. The neck is Norwegian maple. It's rock solid. I hardly ever have to tune even if I've walked to where I'm playing when it's been cold. Or come to think of it - in the heat and then going into an air conditioned room.
  5. I looked at the various PJB kit when I wanted very lightweight gear. In the end when I added up the weights the combos were heavier than a Class D head and a barefaced One10, and many of the smaller heads still had a good DI to use.
  6. They are solid body. No chambering or weight relief.
  7. I saw the post on Facebook asking the same thing. I have to turn down the bass on my amp. It's the MarkBass Marcus Limited and the low end with my TT4 SL is mental. That bass sits in the mix wonderfully, and I'm competing with a 20=odd piece big band full of horns and reeds etc. I'm saving for a 5 string as well. IN an empty room has it got as much low end as my Urge2? No. At a gig would I be wanting to trim off that ultra low end so the sound was tight and not flubby and didn't get in the way of the kick drum? Yup. The natural EQ curve of the cherry body is different, but in no way worse. Just have to EQ my amp in a slightly different way than I was used to.
  8. Just saying....
  9. I've done Pink songs in a 3 + singer band before. Got a D-Tuner for the E string. Added tasteful 5th or Octaves when needed.
  10. Pick a U2 song! And even playing R5R5 behind the solo will make an obvious change to filling it up. Or walk it.
  11. Re-arrange the songs properly then. Everything can be re-arranged if you are willing to make it your own.
  12. Enjoy the space. Playing bass in a 3 piece is one of the greatest things ever. Listen to more Cream / Jack Bruce and you'll get the idea. But also - the guitarist should be writing solos to support the song rather than going off on a thin sounding widdle fest too.
  13. An iOS drum app is as much of an instrument as a keyboard is. You are still playing it live. It's no different to the massive e-kits Def Leppard use, just a different playing surface. Sounds like you want Bongos.
  14. Having installed a P bass pickup into a Stingray 5 and can say there was a definite increased flubbiness to the low B with that pickup. I think it is probably a mix of issues - the pickup being pretty close to the neck, and the sound curve of a P pickup. So now it'a PJ. For the odd note I'll often leave it as just a P, but if there's a lot of low B action going on then it's PJ. that J really tightens it up and stops the flub.
  15. I must try one of those at some point.
  16. My Sandberg Superlight sounds better than any heavy Fender Jazz I've ever had, and I've had a few.
  17. Wait until you get old.
  18. I like them a lot. I need to get one for my Sandberg though. Not got round to it yet. On my P I just have the pickup close to the strings.
  19. Nonsense. You wouldn’t accept a sale advert as lazy as that.
  20. No links, no music type, no location? Is the band as lazy as the advert?
  21. Bas bought my GruvGear Duo Strap. Quick payment, easy communications. All good! Ta muchly!
  22. Looks like I need a Fwonk as well.
  23. That's a good point. I like to set and forget for a gig.
  24. Apparently does not do exactly the same - as per a post up there a bit ^
  25. So the overall view is that I should buy both the C4 and the Spectrum? That's what you are ordering me to do? I don't have a choice? Damn you guys are harsh. Still at least my wife will now understand I didn't have a choice!
