I just noticed these relatively new Ibby basses that have 18mm string spacing at the bridge. Much better for me than the usual 16.5mm the rest of the SR range has. But I can't find any weight details - has anyone got one, and if so can you stick it on the scales so I can easily tell if I might find one light enough for me, or whether I should forget it? ta

Yup. The original ones were cedar (I have one of them) but they've swapped for paulownia. Apparently they can offer more finish options with that. No idea if they are supposed to sound different or not.

The Joyo tributes to the Tech21 stuff are excellent. No idea how long they last but they sound superb.

Slight caveat - not every battery pack allows charging while in use. The Rockboard LT XL does, but I don't know about any others.

It's no different to making sure normal batteries are charged / available. I use it because where I play the power is extremely limited and it cuts down on the power cables and the weight of a normal under-board power supply.

@Lozz196 Correct! There are some dedicated guitar pedal versions of battery packs but they tend to be very expensive for very similar specs. If you have low current draw pedals then you'll only need 1. If you have some hungry digital pedals like delays and synths then you might want to give that it's own battery pack. Personally I'd always take 2 anyway. At £7.99 they are dirt cheap and it's good to have a spare if you are gigging. Also has the benefit of being able to charge your phone for the journey home too! Some of the dedicated guitar versions are only 9V output so they can't be used for other USB purposes and they can cost over £100.

I ran my dUg from a 5000mAh battery pack designed for iphone recharging with a cable that did the conversion from 5V to 9V. I now use 2 of the power packs to power my small pedal board. The packs are small and only £7.99. Cables about £5. Then run a daisy chain to the pedals. Job done.

I tried to find writing credits for the Winery Dogs - but all 3 of them are listed on every tune. Sheehan has been a successful writer all the way back to Talas, but I don't know if that is music only or whether he also writes lyrics.

Can we ban the “I don’t get relics” threads? They come up every 2 months and in every case the OP thinks they are making an original point when in fact it’s the exactly same point. i am yearning for a “I don’t get neon colours” thread just for a change! because that’s all it is. It’s just a different finish option that takes more time and so costs more money. Nobody flips through a catalogue and stops to write a thread about graphic finishes or neons, or even pooburst. There is nothing to “understand.” Some like it, some don’t. I don’t understand baked beans. I might do a thread.
