    I really liked the Genz solution for the Shuttle amps - having a mounting on top of a regular cab so the amp head could be locked into place or removed as needed. I'd love to have something like that with some flexibility for head size.

    Really sorry to hear about your health issues. I have fond memories of buying your Tech Amp cab and spending far more time talking about sneaking GAS related items past significant others. Wish I had the money for the bass. Good luck with the sale.

    I'm not upset about the XLR being a bit darker - I usually run the tone control on my bass down a little anyway. I do wonder why Tech21 didn't put a little button on it for that though.

    It’s lovely. has an Aguilar 60s wind pickup. Plenty of output but not stupid. Tone up and it’s really grinds. Tone down and it’s old rounded p tone. Took a while to find the perfect strings for it, but I’m now settled on D’addario Pro steels. 50-135.

    Actually I'm really looking forward to trying the dUg straight into my Yamaha DXR10 powered PA cab. Aside from my Helix I've not done much direct to PA. This might not only be a great rig on it's own, but also a good backup to the helix.

    Another vote for Zilla. I've had 2 of their guitar cabs and they've always been excellent. They did have some email issues a little while ago. Pick the phone up. Paul is a great guy and easy to chat with about exactly what you want.

    Very nice strings. Love the white ones as well- I had the whites on a Zon Hyperbass when it was in standard tuning and it was amazing.

    My Ray 5 is now loads lighter, with lightweight tuners and far more comfortable. There's also the tiny issue of having all the electrics ripped out and made into a passive P bass!

    Never have done. Never had any backing tracks and things to sync to. I like a band to shift tempo as they feel the music. I'm pretty sure Anthrax don't even record with a click! Although I did once do a gig with a drummer who was soooo nervous or 40 minute set was finished about 8 minutes early. That was hard work!
