Would you expect a current 20 something Ford salesman to know what a P100 was? Nope. It was discontinued before he was born. It has no relevance to his job, and as said above if Ibby Japan haven’t released any official info yet then why would he know about rumoured new stuff? Basses are a hobby for you - it is how you escape from work. For him it’s a job and at 5pm he probably doesn’t give a stinky poo until 9am again. Instruments are what he escapes from! And I couldn’t blame him.

Unless you’re in an eighties metal band why a bullet belt?

I like that a lot. I want one.

I use a One10 with a Tecamp Puma 300 in the lounge. Sounds good to me! If you wanted a bit more fun though you could get the One10 and a little power amp and a Helix Stomp and then have lots of bass amp flavours to play with.

I stopped following Larry about 2 years ago when he made the comments - and to be fair because of the reactions of others on his page supporting the no need for a trial approach. I lasted about 10 minutes for Phil Jones' page! Shame really, I like both their products.

I cook outside all the time! But I don't own a bass company.

Wasn't just that. He was going on about death penalty stuff for someone who hadn't even been charged with a crime much less convicted.

He's turned into a bit of a tool on his facebook too.

Selling an Origin Cali76 Compact Bass compressor. One of the finest pedal compressors on earth! Does the "new york" compression thing (blending clean sound) but also has another trick - the HPF control that uses a sidechain to allow more thump to come through for some frequencies while clamping on the others. That control is witchcraft! Lets the low B and E thump through while controlling high string pops. That feature can be turned off with the knob at zero too. Equally good on guitar and bass. Very quiet in operation. Accepts 9 to 18V dc. Very good condition - has velcro on the bottom. Full specs are here: https://origineffects.com/product/cali76-compact-bass/ £200 including signed for delivery in the UK. No trades please, I'm raising money for shiny things!

Ace! Thank you. I love compressors. Wish I could afford to keep all the ones I've owned! -
It looks like a yellow and black Hartke HA3500 to me! They've just moved one of the gain controls to the other side of the EQ.

Strandberg - somethings cooking - boden bass

I'm really curious about the Endurneck. Seems a fascinating concept. As for prices - the guitars run from about £1500 to £3000 depending on where they are built so I'd imagine the same for the basses. It's the weight that really appeals. They've got the guitars down to about 5lb. That might mean 6 to 7lb basses. That would really float my boat if I like the neck.- 150 replies

Keytardists are called that for a reason. Not even Prince could make one cool. -
SOLD Mesa Boogie prodigy Four:88 10th Dec down to £1000
fretmeister replied to Paul S's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
I had one of these once. I bought it at the original RRP - which I think was about £2400! It was one of the finest sounding amps I have ever played. Then I joined a mostly woodwind band and the band leader wouldn't tolerate fan noise of any kind. He wanted silence when the sheet music said silence! I did think about getting a tech to swap the fan for a super quiet model but it was still in warranty at the time and I didn't want to risk it. I ended up trading it in at Bass Gear for a Demeter head (no fan) instead. The Demeter was very good indeed, but couldn't match the Mesa. -

I quite fancy a change from my Cali. Just for GAS reasons! -
I've been thinking of one of these - but looking at the Keeley website and Andertons I have noticed something odd. The Keeley site shows different knobs and also states the Release time can be as long as 3s, whereas the close up picture on Andertons' shows 1.5ms There are other value differences shown too. Any ideas which one is correct, or whether there have been 2 versions?

EBS Billy Sheehan Deluxe This is EBS's take on Billy Sheehan's Pearce Preamp. Very different flavour of drive to the dUg pedal, also has a clean blend and has 2 separate loops for the clean and drive sides so you can put different FX into each side using Insert cables. Very usefully has a phase switch so you can keep the tone beefy as hell, or back it off a bit in the mix. Also contains a compressor and a boost to further increase the filth. TOP TIP - don't listen to Billy Sheehan's demos of it at NAMM as it sounds like its recorded on a phone. Instead listen to Erik's video demo and comparison with the B3K and the original non-deluxe EBS UNIQUE FEATURE: The OP Amp chip is loaded into an easy change socket and EBS actively advertise it to tweakers - change the chip for other things if you like. No soldering required. No box or instructions on this one. £135 including UK delivery ono. PRICE DROP TO £100 delivered UK
