  1. Ah man, I’d love to that.
  2. Nobody goes to see them without knowing exactly who they are and what they are about. Saying otherwise is like suggesting people go and see Frankie Boyle live and are then surprised when he says f*ck in the show. Load of bollocks.
  3. I'm really torn now. I've been starting to save the pennies for one of the new Ray Specials, but this looks lovely as well. There's no way I could afford both.
  4. I've opened negotiations with the wife. I am not hopeful (we need to replace the house guttering at the mo) but I'm going to try. This would solve my current Duck Dunn obsession.
  5. Hi Jeff. I’m currently working through your etudes from your course. I am slowly catching up with my over achieving clarinetist daughter!
  6. It’s certainly an ugly picture....
  7. Please tell me it’s annoyingly heavy.
  8. I wish I had money. That is spectacular.
  9. I think that's just the over tones from his usual drive sound. that bass is very grindy. He's using a Helix these days - Line 6 modelled Billy's own Pearce Preamp to get the helix model dead right.
  10. What is the nut width?
  11. It's rocky funk - but damn it's good!
  12. What's the weight like?
  13. I fancy one of those too.
  14. My Marleaux is like that. If the EQ if flat there is zero tone or level change with the preamp on or off. its superb.
  15. If he was going to give away free lessons he might as well have just bought a new bass. What happened to just doing the right thing purely because it's the right thing? He didn't have to offer a reward - moaning that it isn't enough is distasteful.
  16. Darkglass M900 Its great and very versatile.
  17. IIRC they are on the Fender Elite basses too. By by far the best system.
  18. I put 4 of them on my Urge 2. They sound awesome. Unfortunately it needs a pretty big truss rod tweak and I haven't got enough movement to cope with the heavy strings. At the moment I can't afford to have the truss rod replaced so my options are to buy a lighter gauge or go back to my old strings on it. Bah. Proper annoyed. They sound great.
  19. Doug didn’t go into specifics, but he announced it on Facebook a couple of weeks ago. Apparently the maker of the mystery mystery parts are stopping production of that part.
  20. Sandberg Electra? All Sandberg necks are the same - much closer to J than P.
  21. At the time I don't think the P-Type was available. Maybe I should have just put a preamp in it. It was a lovely bass.
  22. Lovely things. I sold my ABZ5 as it was a bit too polite for me, but I'm really looking forward to trying the NG3 5 string when they get here in enough numbers to actually try before I buy.
