    I’ve not tried them but the Phil Jones D-400 and the D-1000 are both fanless. If f they can manage 1000W without a fan so can everyone else.

    For cheap compressors I really like the Marshall ED-1. I have some expensive compressors too, but I'll never sell any of the ED-1s I have. I love them!

    Helix. It's superb on bass. And the main guy in charge of the Helix at L6 is a bassist so we'll definitely keep getting more toys in firmware updates.

    They are a bit sticky to touch. Look cool, but overall a bit crap.

    Rehearse at gig volume. Set your settings at gig volume in a full mix. Anything else just causes problems. And that applies to every type of rig.

    I'll lend amps, but the list of people I'd lend a bass to is very limited. To 1 person actually. And even then the amp lending will have a receipt and a signature. Bad experience means I'm cautious.

    Just seen on Facebook - Origin FX are going to have a very limited number of "blemished" pedals on sale from 30th March with 20% off. No idea what compressor models yet, but for 20% off it has to be worth a look on the day.

    It was a reaction to a load of sexist and bigoted crap that kept appearing on the page from some users. I haven't got a problem with that. I've just got a problem that he's trying to charge for reading the manual to you!

    He is a bit of a tool. And he’s now selling vinyl covers too. Make it look wooden, or carbon etc. I wonder if he has a real job.

    Clean sound is nice. But alas the drive sounds like farty nonsense to me. I moved on my RH750 for that reason.
