1. The Barefaced Two10 is £519 and is awesome. I can't see the value in a 2x10 at £900!
2.
Who is making the cabinets? That is serious cash for a 2x10.
Don't know - rumours were of a UK builder.
3.
My interpretation in the website is no footswitch at all included Footswitch The Footswitch jack allows you to remotely engage and disengage the Microtubes Engine via our Intelligent Footswitch (sold separately). Hold the footswitch to Mute the amplifier. The VMT/B3K push button will remain operational with the Intelligent Footswitch plugged in. * Use a regular mono instrument cable to connect the amplifier to the footswitch. * Remove the cable from the footswitch jack in the rear panel if you want to control the amp from the front panel. * The Microtubes 500 will only work with our proprietary Intelligent Footswitch or Super Intelligent Footswitch (both sold separately). A generic Footswitch will not work with the Microtubes 500. That is naughty....
Blimey. That's not good.
4. 'm assuming you get the 1 button footswitch with it like for the M900, and that the multi swtich is optional? The multi-one has a flaw in that settings that work for the B3K circuit don't really work for the VMT circuit, so there's not a lot of point swapping between them. I leave the B3K setting on all the time anyway - with a very low drive level. Then hit it with an AO if needed.
5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=6&v=0FN2KFdgtms Dave seems to be getting a lot of bass demo work for them!
6. Thread on the new ones http://basschat.co.uk/topic/312508-new-darkglass-products/
7. Can't find GBP prices yet but CONVERSION 2x10 - £908 4x10 - £1268 Amp - £745 No doubt the UK prices will be higher in reality. Because of the thing that cannot be named.
8.
Bigwan I think you are right, but if you can do it and people buy into it, why not?! I too had an M900 head, clean circuit s very good and intuitive, I see they have taken away the frequency selection points for the 500, it is a real shame that they do not push the clean as much as they do the dirt so people know. The whole marketing campaign aid 4 announcements for September, shock horror, it's a mini version of a pedal less than a year old, 2 Cabs (I would put cabs as 1) and a 500w head which new is more expensive than a second hand 900 which you can flip a switch to attenuate anddecrease the wattage from 900 and soncoild use with a One10 anyway. Only addition is the headphone jack and a DI unaffected by master volume Also in true Apple fashion, extras are optional and have to be purchased such as the footswitch, that's a bit naughty
Frequency buttons are there - but only 2 options per, rather than 3
9. Location? Weight? thanks
10. I must admit I rarely take mine out (rack and controller) but that's just because I'm currently playing in an educational trust group with a load of ensembles and room changes. I'm not setting up and breaking down 6 times on a saturday morning! So I take bass, amp, cab, and a compressor.
11. That is lovely. Would be my perfect YOB bass. I'm very jealous.
12. Bump. Make me an offer - I'm not sure what they usually sell for.
13. Maybe not. I'll give you £10 for it. I could do with a spare!
14. IIRC Mark has stopped ordering Lull basses too. Maybe with the exchange rate issues it's just not worth bringing them in anymore?
15. Have you tried it in the loop? For some compressors I find putting them in the loop allows the full dynamic interaction with the preamp, but then applies the magic after the preamp to control the levels going into the power section.
16. Here: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/254344-the-official-maruszczyk-club/page__pid__3376521__st__2100#entry3376521
17. There is a MASSIVE thread in the Bass section.
18. Keep it! They are amazing. I've got 3!
19. I love Marleaux basses. Mine will be buried with me. Would you have better luck shifting them on commission somewhere?
20. I don't know what environments the OP is playing in - but I'm using a 300W Tecamp Puma into a single BF One10 with a big band with over enthusiastic drummers and brass players. I have a second One10 but I don't often have to use it. A single one is plenty loud enough.
21. I'm using an Aguilar 60s model and it's lovely. Nice and balanced across the strings. Vintagey when played gently, clanky when digging in.
22. Selling my Darkglass Super Symmetry compressor pedal. It's in good condition and works perfectly. It has velco on the bottom. I'm not sure whether I have the box or not. If I have it then it will be included. But please don't assume. Here is the review from the compressor junkies at Onvilab: http://www.ovnilab.c...darkglass.shtml £[s]210 including Special Delivery in the UK.[/s] SOLD
23. £22 + delivery for a single string. Ye gods. That is taking the piss on a monumental scale.
24. Pub rock crap or Coldplay?
25.
As my post above, my wife was sent a letter of an intended claim in court before the IC settled on her behalf. So in the case of my wife/Duo, it was worth having the Insurance. It all got quite complicated, because the claim was against my wife's duo. club owner and the agent. Not sure why the agent, he had nothing to do with it, other than supply the act. The club owner was another matter, believe it or not, he had no PLI, so I am not sure what went on there (or that outcome) because the claims company decided he was liable as well, unless that was just some kind of threat in an attempt to get more money ? My PL insurance is through the MU. I don't know if it's any good because I have never needed to use it. https://www.musician...ility-Insurance
They try and get the court to confirm everyone is liable. It doesn't mean more money as that stays the same no matter how many defendants there are. But it allows collection from all or 1 - it's called jointly and severally liability. It means there is more than one wallet to extract the compensation from.
