1. All songs are improved with my bass sound. Ok. Most. Ok, some. Ah feck it. I like my tone. I alter attack and clank with my fingers. I never change pickup settings at a gig. Once it sounds good for the room I leave it. FX on top if needed.

3. It's nothing to be upset about. Music can be an academic subject for ones own personal pleasure and intellectual curiosity. Does not have to be for performance. I own a rugby ball and don't play the game anymore either.
4. Swap the tuners for Hipshot Ultralites and the dive will go.
5. New demo up https://youtu.be/j6M26dHCn5E
6. Yes please. My understanding of what I'm playing improved massively with a bit of theory. Lovely to be able to sight read a bit too. No more searching for tab not drafted by a muppet.
7. I'm not convinced. Unless the use of the Preamp Out re-activates the Master Volume, I've asked the question on Facebook - I'll post the reply when I get it. I've ordered one anyway. I discovered I had some Andertons points to knock another £13 off!
8. I've been looking at the manual. I had assumed the Pre Out / Power Amp in could be used as an FX loop. But the manual says when the Power Amp in is used the Master volume is disabled. So really it can't be used as an FX loop, and that might cause issues with 4CM too, depending on what the outboard gear is.
9.
thomann have them in stock now... https://www.thomann....0_bass_head.htm
Andertons still quite a bit cheaper than everyone else then, so far.
10. I'm sitting here looking at my GAS fund and wondering whether to pre-order. I want one, but I also want to hear the fan to make sure it's not a stupid whirly thing like in the Mesa 4:88
11. I'm almost certain I would use the internal VMT sounds for most things and then hit it with a B3K for extra. I change tones mid song quite a lot, but this isn't a 2 or 3 channel amp. This is a 1 channel amp with a selectable drive voice. Genuine multi-channel amps are more complex and would cost more. And usually they need EQ per channel. I'm very much looking forward to this amp.
12. The Mitchell Donut is far cheaper and works on guitar amps. £5 of foam and scissors.
13. And I've just spotted the EBMM Caprice too http://www.music-man.com/instruments/basses/caprice-bass TOO. MUCH. CHOICE!
14. There are many preamps with passive options. Some have a passive tone control and some don't. The East ones do, and I think the Sadowsky ones do. There must be others. The Sandberg basses have that too but I'm not sure what preamp is in them.
15. I can't shake the gas I have for a P bass. My problem is the massive range even just in the Fender stable, never mind the other companies that make a good P bass. So ignoring price and make for the moment, if you wanted a good proper sounding (passive, regular output pickups) Precision type bass what would you look at? And while I'm at it, why doesnt Fender make more PJ models?
16. Very happy with my Mono Vertigo. Had it for about 5 years now and it's been great.
17. I don't think I've ever gigged a Fender. I've owned 3 I think. A Miller jazz, a jap P and my current Urge2. When I gigged with 4 strings it was an Aria, then a Status. Then when I moved to 5 strings it has been Marleaux, Dingwall, EBMM. I do have bad gas for a Precision at the moment though.
18. "Clearly wishing the knobhead drummer was being dismembered"
19. Inappropriate
20. Grant bought my B7K. Super fast payment and good comms. The madman used it on a gig on the first day he got it. I'm never brave enough to use new kit at a gig without a rehearsal! Thank you!
21. Finally got round to ordering a set. Looking forward to trying them when they get here.
22. I like the Sonic Port. Very happy with it.
23. The Empress is a great unit. I sold mine to get the Supersymmetry purely as the jacks are on top and it takes up less space but I'd be very happy to have another. Compressor addiction is real though. You don't need a better one. You need more of them!
24. Do the 5 string precisions sound like a precision?
