    Selling an Empress Compressor. I am the first owner, and it is in very good (if a bit dusty) condition. It has velcro on the bottom. It scores very highly on the Ovnilab Compressor database reviews, and is very transparent. Looking for £145 including postage in the UK. PRICE DROP to £135 delivered in the UK No trades unless you've got a ThorpyFX Muffroom Cloud. ta

    Mex basses are built in Mexico by Mexicans USA basses are built in the USA by Mexicans. P basses are the simplest design in all of bassdom. I struggle to see the benefit of USA ones these days as the "inferior" ones are so very good now.

    The Darkglass has just bumped my Empress off my board. They are both amazing, but there is something about the Darkglass that I like better. Hard to put my finger on it though. Now I'm in 2 minds whether to keep the Empress or move it on so I can free up some cash for something else. I seem to be craving a Univibe even though they are not generally known for use on bass. Anyway, you can't go wrong with either of them.

    There is always the lighter Berg CN112 I have the OneTen and it is very capable. The low B on my Marleaux is amazing with it.

    You could save a fair bit of weight by putting Hipshot Ultralites on it. Not cheap, but excellent quality and better balance.

    Spacing at the bridge on any 5 string EBMM (apart from a special edition Ray5) is 17.5mm from string centre to string centre.

    Finally getting round to off loading my remaining guitar pedals. Suhr Koko Boost I'm the first owner and I have the box. It's a 2 stage boost. The regular side is a flat boost that hammers the front of your amp. The Mid side adds another boost on top for the mids. There are 3 frequency centres for that boost. Add it to any great valve amp and it really expands the tones available. I've used it with single channel amps like the Badger 30 and with modern stuff like a Dual Rec. great results all the time. I have also used it in front of drive pedals to increase drive levels or add to the mids.     Is it really the same size as the Empress? It seems narrower in photos. Anyone got both for a photo comparison?
