1. This one: http://www.ritter-instruments.com/item_info.php?i=541 Go on then. Depress me!
2. Cool! I like Swamp Ash. Nice and resonant and light. I hate to think how much Fred's R8 cost though!
3. Their site is still up. I wonder if they'll close and the people there start a new company. King Double Bass died, but their phoenix Blast Cult seems to be doing well.
4.
That'll be this one then
Is that swamp ash? It's a bit annoying that Jens doesn't just have a price list on his site. I'd like to know that I'm wasting my time with a click rather than an email!!
5. Do new Zons have truss rods?
6.
This is an exceptional Jazz Bass in original and overall perfect condition. It is a limited edition model. Comes with case, certificate and the other stuff (cable...). No trade offers. https://soundcloud.c...soehl/fender-cs More pics on request.
Lazy advert. Colour? Body wood? Maple or rosewood board? Standard passive controls or something else from the custom shop? Weight? Shipping?
7. Awesome things. I use mine with a pair of Berg HD112 cabs
8. "the real me" by The Who. Although the WASP recorded version is easier to hear. Better mix.

10. Was £1100.00 (less than I paid for it) NOW £850 As I want to buy cabs. Ideally today. Ahem. Selling my Zon Sonus. It's just been set beautifully by Arrowhead Guitars (Paul_C of this forum) so it's ready to go. The previous owner had a Kahler trem installed professionally and it is great fun! It has been played and there are some lacquer dings on the neck, I've tried to photograph them. They could be filled in with superglue very easily but as I don't notice them when playing I haven't bothered. It has Bartolini pickups and a 3 band preamp with a toggle switch to set the mid frequency. Pulling up the volume control makes it passive. [s]I'm looking for about £1100[/s] DROP TO £850.00 Cash only, no trades as I have bad GAS for cabs. Collection preferred, Northants. Ta
11.
Is their fretwork so bad that they couldn't judge the required nut slot height from the line of the fret crowns?
Do you want them to guess about your bridge height and whether you need a shim? Or even whether you are fitting it to an official fender body? Anyway the fret height is irrelevant until your choice of strings are on it and up to tension AND you have set the truss rod how you like it.
12. Not played the basses, but I have played some of the guitars. Very well built... but somehow lacking in soul.
13. As long as a customer has not changed the specs on the way, after the end of a quoted build time the customer can sue for a refund of whatever has been paid. The court is likely to expect the customer to have given the builder a little extra time because of the old 'you can't rush a craftsman' idea, but certainly when the builder has had another 25% or 50% of the time stated the court will not be on the side of the builder. Especially when the builders are usually silent / non-responsive to emails and even abusive to those doing nothing more than asking what the builder is doing with money that has already been handed over. Name them, shame them and sue them!
14. Wow!!! Dear lottery gods.... I love Marleaux basses. I want to own more of them.
15. Bump! I need these gone as I have the chance to buy back a bass I used to own! Make offers!
16. Get stuck in!! Bo Rap on a uku.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PB3RbO7updc and the Shaft theme! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlMT-oEIQuo
17. GHS Pressure wound strings. Tone up for articulate. Tone down for thunder. I bet yours kill problems were from a nickel reaction. So Steel flats like Chromes are a great option too. Super reactive to the tone control too. Or an outboard preamp like the new VT Bass DI, or a Tone Hammer.
18. Ed bought my MXR Bass Compressor. Super fast payment, all sooper-dooper!
19. Yup, all the time. I have a Pod XT and I run it into the FX return. Works well!
20.
Has this been officially confirmed?
Mark at Bass Direct just confirmed it on Facebook. SWR and Hamer basses going too.
21. Play it right no matter how slowly. Then slowly increase. Being perfect each time. Practice does. NOT make perfect. Practice only makes permanent. Only perfect practice makes perfect.
