Compressor. I like other toys and sometimes actually need them for certain cover songs, but a compressor is vital for me. I like the way a good compressor reacts and it can tame a boomy room much better than EQ alone can.

I've got a 9.2 and it's lovely. Very clear and articulate. I like it a lot.

I would like to go wireless, but I'd need 2 sets due to having basses with 2 outputs. Lots of cash. But I use a Line 6 headset mic for magic shows and it's always been reliable and very clear. Very pleased with it.

I like a mentally low action. So often my set up involves putting a shim in to tilt the neck a little anyway. IMHO all necks should have some sort of neck tilt adjustment like on the Marcus Miller jazz basses.

My Attitude 3 is 12lb. My Dingwall ABZ5 is about 7lb 9.

Genz Streamliner 900 Genz Shuttle 9.2 Berg cabs

I have one too. Got it for my daughter, but I play it as well. It's a great sounding bass!

I really like the Quarter Pounder. Definitely deeper than a stock P pickup, and reacts very well to the bass's tone control too. I have one in my CIJ 1962 re-issue P I also have a couple of Dimarzio Will Power. Mental output. Great for chunky rock and FX use. Not very subtle though!

I have a pair of Berg HD112 cabs They are very good, but still on the heavy side for a 1x12, and I often have to carry them in places where wheels are not an option. Lots of stairs and narrow walkways. So I'm thinking about changing them for the new lightweight CN112. Has anyone played both and compared them? The HD sounds very good indeed and if the CN is effectively the same with 16lb less per cab then I will go for it when I have some more cash. But if they are very different sounding then I'll have to think of something else. Any thoughts from CN112 users?

Scallops - yes. Just the top 5 frets. Very comfy actually. I play a lot in the upper register playing keyboard and cello parts as needed. Not much need for string bending though! Karl - Way ahead of you. I already have 2 heads and 2 cabs! 2 Genz heads (Shuttle 9.2 and a Streamliner 900) and a pair of Berg HD112. I'll be setting up for split use this weekend. I've done that before with a modded Status. Looking forward to getting back to it!

I've now got the action as I wanted. Super low, no buzz. It's brilliant! In 25 odd years of playing I've only had one other brand new bass so this is a real treat!
