  1. With Amazon make sure that Amazon is actually the seller.
  2. Or they could be being really slack!
  3. Perhaps your email is going in their spam folder for some reason?
  4. He's left it a bit late! These guys are excellent - if they are still available. https://www.fullyfunktional.rocks/
  5. I tried it on 2 boards. One with the good old PP+ and on the other a very silly money Gigrig Power Generator set up, with dedicated isolators. Both the same.
  6. My cab has arrived. I've only been able to have 30 mins at lunchtime but I like it - paired with my existing One10. With the tweeter control at zero it sounds just like the One10. With it maxed there's a pleasing high end that is very nice for slap and for chord stuff at the dusty end. Envelope filter stuff seems to come through a bit more in the highs too. Some of my drive sounds are now a bit fizzy so I'll have to tweak them. There's nothing brittle or sharp about the highs - I'm assuming that will be party to do with the tweeter and partly to do with the amp itself. The treble control on the amp is 6Khz but I have no idea what the Q is, or whether there is a LPF somewhere to get rid of the horrible stuff at the top. As I stated up there ^ about hissy things, I have had Mark Bass amps in the past that were hissy with MB own cabs. My current Mark Bass is the AG1000 and even with the treble maxed and the tweeter maxed there is no hiss - not even with my compressor on. Very impressive. It's about a Kilo heavier than the One10 but still very light at 8.5kg.
  7. For me, functionality and comfort is far more important than looks.
  8. If you swap to USA Ultralights and go for the Y keys instead of the Clover ones you'll save about another 12 grams. As you've noticed from the other end, even a little makes a bit difference. (I'm obsessed with bass balance and weight! )
  9. Ooo! I've just had the courier's "We are expecting your parcel" email. So it looks like I'll get it in a couple of days! Excellent!
  10. Unless you are spending the incoming money on more basses or amps I'm pretty sure you are in breach of the forum GAS rules!
  11. I suspect you won't feel like doing anything at all for at least a couple of weeks, let alone working out your usual lines for a keyboard. I didn't play a note for at least 6 months last time I had surgery and that had nothing to do with my arms / hands. Concentrate on recovery - and with anything nerve related it is vital to do the physio as ordered even when it is really hard work / uncomfortable. It will make a massive difference in the long run.
  12. It does seem to be an 'everybody or nobody' thing to make it work properly.
  13. Hipshot Ultralites at the other end would do it, and lower the total bass weight too.
  14. There's quite a few without amp sims, but most multi effects include overdrive / dist. There's no point in the makers removing that bit of code! Line 6 HXFX is an example. No amp sims.
  15. I've had 2. I really like what they did, but both of them had a tiny high pitched whine in the signal that annoyed me. I don't know if I was unlucky in having 2 with the same issue, but it has put me off trying a third.
  16. Yes, I know. That’s why I said we are able to do that.
  17. presumbly you have never played a gig with just a clarinet player alone where fan noise is audible to the audience, but then at the same gig then have to play with a 20 piece ensemble without having the luxury of having 2 rigs on stage? There’s a lot more to it than “you can’t hear it over the drums”.
  18. Frank Zappa made it a point of pride that his live solos were never just copies of the record and he wrote the things! Go nuts and enjoy yourself.
  19. I never overplay. The rest of the band are underplaying.
  20. so tell me, if we don’t have a PA and don’t need one because only 2 out of about 25 of us are amplified, how am I wrong?
  21. We are able to do that, yes. But it's still nearly £300 over here for a new one, and looking at the used sales on ebay and Reverb the used ones of the current model are only hitting £120. That's terrible loss of value.
  22. I disagree with that quite a lot. We all have the right to "quiet enjoyment" of our homes. That means we shouldn't be forced to consider ear plugs etc due to the actions of others. That isn't quiet enjoyment - that's having to take steps to deal with the selfishness of others.
  23. That's a kind offer but my passport has expired and I'm not convinced I can get that far north without one!
