  1. Depends how you define clean / modern I suppose. The RM won't do a proper Marcus Miller sound as well as a Mark Bass, but it will still do clean and clear. Can even turn off the EQ completely if you like. Have you got a clip of a tone you like? Then sometime over the weekend I'll see how close I can get for a bit of fun.
  2. I think you are assuming members know what’s going on. I haven’t a clue.
  3. There was a similar thread recently that might help.
  4. Stick that on thefretboard.co.uk as well. I bet it will go quickly.
  5. Selling 2 sets of Ti Flats. Both been on a bass for under a week. I have a nickel allergy so I now have to stick with steel strings only. Set 1 is the JF324 short scale and was on my Sandberg Lionel P bass type. 43-100 SOLD Set 2 is JF344 long scale and was on my Sandberg TT4 jazz type 34 scale. 43-106 Say about £30 each set including delivery? Ta.
  6. TBH I don't think you can go wrong with any of the modern multi / modellers these days. They are all very capable.
  7. I got to play the prototype of this https://blackstaramps.com/carry-on-guitar/ It's extra short scale at 23.5 inches. The neck dive is fairly crap, but it sounds very good indeed.
  8. I've not tried milder sounds! Just mad ones! I might hook it up later and try some of the player library sounds to see what is there.
  9. I've got an Ultrawave I'm not using. It is great fun but I might sell it. I refuse to take any board bigger than a Nano+ and it's full and I'm happy with the stuff on there! I hate to think how many pedals I've got lying about unused!
  10. What about the Source Audio Aftershock? Lots of drive options and the other stuff from the app is very comprehensive. @Quatschmacher might be able to give more information about the EQ capabilities of it.
  11. I didn't used to, but then I tried some and really liked the lack of finger noise, and the difference in attack of the note.
  12. Well the Ti flats are coming off my Jazz. Most annoyingly my nickel allergy is getting worse. I never used to have a problem with normal nickel stuff and then I played some of the Roto Monel flats for a while and they have a very high nickel content and they gave me blisters. It seems my sensitivity levels have gone up a lot. A real shame as I really liked the tone and the feel of them. They've only been on about a week so I'll stick them in the classifieds in a mo. Even more annoyingly I put a shortscale set on my Lionel as well, so they are coming off too. Expensive week.
  13. Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. Same territory.
  14. Great. Another video that I'll have to get my daughter to explain to me. She patronises me enough, thank you very much!
  15. Sounds good. But it is discontinued.
  16. I really like them too but they high nickel content makes my fingers blister.
  17. Andertons have always refused to weigh stuff for me over the years. Every time they've just told me that I can rely on the returns process. Even when I've pointed out that I might need to go through every one they had in stock. GG have weighed stuff, and GAK have always been really helpful for that too. Peach weigh all their stuff and put the weights and serial numbers on the website.
  18. No, GUITARGUITAR sometimes have them, and so does Classic & Cool Guitars. I ordered my Superlight Lionel through Classic & Cool. But BD usually have the best stock.
  19. You can order a Sandberg TT5 as a passive Superlight. Or find a used one and make it passive. The active one I had was under 7lb.
  20. Maybe it’s because he wants the 50 G string? He does detune quite often. It’s probably nothing more than personal preference.
