1.
Just been working in Barcelona (assistant) for the last two weeks, 'Cubasis' and 'Notion' for iPad came in very handy for sketching out. Both programme files were then imported into my desktop versions on return. http://www.steinberg...asis/start.html http://www.presonus..../Notion-for-iOS
I've just started using Notion on my laptop, and might be getting an iPad shortly. How do you input music on the iPad? On the laptop, my current preferred method is step entry using a mini-keyboard for the pitches and the laptop keyboard for the durations.
 2. Obviously, go for the one with the biggest pair. Of lungs.
 3. Roman bought my spare King Crimson ticket. A very easy process - turned out he works around the corner from me - and it was a pleasure to meet him, and to talk all things bass after the gig.
 4.
I saw Vic Reeves was there on the first night.
Vic was mentioned in the spoken intro... Speaking of speaking, I found it odd that No One Spoke to the audience from the stage.
 5.
I did think of trying, but was worried about being screwed by a phisher
<joke about rods, tackle etc. go here>
 6.

But that's "Vintage" glass and crockery breaking... #confused
 7.
Black Jazz bass with a rosewood fretboard (I'm going to put a tort guard on it - I love that look!) It was a toss-up between that and Olympic White, but black won the toss. And yet, I'm still not 100% sure this is real! I'm going be a laughing stock if it ain't
Good thing I don't like Jazzes, I'd hate you even more if you went for something I wanted
 8.
I've got something listed for sale, and I listed it for almost £100 too much. A BCer PM'd me to tell me it was too expensive, in a very polite way, and I was very grateful for the advice. Based on that experience I'd always tell people in as polite a way as possible
Nice, and PM is the way: much better than adding a HOW MUCH? comment in the for-sale thread!
 9.
Go for Platinum - or any suitable Transition metal.
Is this thread good for metal?
 10.
The chances of it NOT being legit seem less likely than it being the real thing - how many people would know your email address and that you'd gone to the Fender event? All they're asking is for a reply to the email and since they already have your address you aren't exactly divulging anything that isn't already known. I'd say get back in touch ASAP!
This. Said jealously
 11. +1. Somehow I missed them in the Discipline era, but it was worth the 30-plus-year wait for them to return to the UK!
 12. And what better aperitif than the Central Line in the rush hour? 👿
 13.
For legal reasons, the title and lyrics of a Byrds song 'Ate Mile's Pie', inspired by the accidental scoffing of a trumpet player's lunch, had to be re-written.
Luckily they found inspiration - or rather expiration, as the eventually title describes their audible exhalation on seeing Eminem's feature-film début.
 14. Aren't the Planet Waves plugs all-in-one moulded/sealed affairs? If so, you'll need to chop it off and strip back the cable. Similarly, if your right-angled jack is sealed you're probably better off replacing it with a new one.
 15.
So similar influences then. I spotted McCartneys frog record in Ozzys kitchen last time I was there, and he used to live near the inner circle 8 route. Probably just goes to prove what goes around comes around, or something
Well, when all the seats on the number 11 are taken, we all stand together.
 16.
Open 'view new content'. Look at the menu side bar at LHS. At the bottom there's 'Filter content'. Click on this. A menu will open, listing all the sub forums. Click on the subforums you like. Now save. Your new content should henceforward be filtered to reflect your choices and all will be lovely.
Ooh I never knew that. I wonder if GAS can be cured by filtering out the marketplace forums...
 17.
TONIGHT
Yup! I'll be the guy with a yoghurt stain on his shirt... hopefully it won't distract Mr F!
 18. Ouch - I've cut myself just looking at that!
 19.
I remember a gig in Birmingham, UK. I think it was Joe Walsh (was a long time ago) who said: "We have a Birmingham in Alabama, it's a much nicer place". There you are, Beatlemania couldn't happen in a nicer place.
There are a lot of rich people in Birmingham A lot of ghosts in a lot of houses Look over there!...A dry ice factory A good place to get some thinking done
 20. Anyone who has ever ridden on a bus has been influenced by this bus:
 21.
2nd hand Cort, Ibanez or Yamaha. Cort GB75 should be in that price bracket and is a lovely bass.
+1. I have an Ibanez 705 (active, slim neck) which I bought s/h in that range, and a Yamaha BB425 (passive, wider neck), which I believe can be bought new for less that that!
 22. Just over a day to go.... don't miss it and make it a lifetime of regret
 23.
As a true bass man, this is another more correct version.
I guess tempo, dynamics and articulation cost extra...
 24. I see most of them just have one knob....
 25. I got complaints when I used a pick.... best to stick to fingerstyle.
