1.
Just had a look for the sake of it, even though I'm not buying. (I AM NOT BUYING). I'm liking this one http://www.cashgener...unburst-mn12955 ...but I think the 340 inch scale might just be a bit too much to handle.
I am also NOT BUYING... but yes, if could manage 340" I'm sure I would "enjoy a new level of stardom"!
 2.
I'm thinking as the reason i'm selling is to clear out space that swapping one thing for 3 things that are hard to sell wouldn't be a good idea
3.
Dammit why does he have to live so far.. I've got a 2 band stingray preamp clone just waiting to go into one of these!
Yep, I'm seeing quite a lot of tantalising "collection only" lovelies on eBay these days,
 4. Check out this lot http://www.cashgenerator.co.uk/products.aspx?search=bass+guitar and their ilk - I got a spotless Squier CV Precision from them for £150 + delivery!
 5.
MB1. There was a time...
I've got a bass In a bit of a state There's a tear up the front It's red and black I've had it for months If you think it could look good Then I guess it should
 6. Wot Andy said... I'm got a few things to shift, so I've set up saved searches on eBay and put the results in a watch list... come back a week later and see what they went for (or if they went at all!)
 7.
Just to clarify. Tightening would make the neck more curved, ie. bring the head forwards and loosening will make the neck flatter?
Other way round! Tighten to increase the rod tension counteracting the strings (head back), loosen to allow the strings pull more (head forward).
 8. When tightening I simultaneously pull back on the headstock - the theory being that the truss rod will hold the tension, but I don't want to over-exert it by making it pull the neck into shape. And I slacken the strings for tightening, but not for loosening.
 9.
Mel C?!
Her fans may in for a surprise! But seriously... sans Belew, is there a vocalist in the line-up?
 10. Wow. Wow... and wow. Robert "Sinatra" Fripp comes out of retirement! Although I've seen Fripp with the League of Crafty Guitarists, KC remain one of the few bands that jostle for the position of favourite act ever that I've never actually seen live. #excited
 11.
So THAT'S where it went...
You should have secured it, somehow...
 12. Great thread, thanks for the tips. (See what I did there?)
 13. Nice - shame/good job I'm not local! (I don't need a 5 but I'd still llike one!) I'd put the BB in the classic P/J camp - how would say this sounds in comparison?
 14. But how does one solder using only two hands? I used to be able to do it as a young lad, but after a long absence I found making up some leads surprisingly tricky - I wanted a hand each for the iron, the solder, and the two components
 15. Another vote for s/h Squier CV - and Yamaha BB3xx/BB4xx
 16.
Secondly, there's some historical evidence that we never used to sleep right through the night, there are references to "First sleep" and "second sleep" in some old literature and paintings of people up and about during the night.
Yes, I read something about that recently... before gas/electric lighting, people without access to large amounts of candle-power (everyone except the chandelier-toting aristocracy?) Would go to bed when it got dark, when wake up (and do what?!) four hours later.
 17.
Every year I look at the pics and think "yeah, must go next year". I am doing the same now.
This! I was actually free but talked myself out of it as I'm dangerously susceptible to GAS at the moment and didn't want my appetite whetted! Silly really.
 18. Ah, looks like I started window-shopping for 5s a week too late! Glad it's gone to a good home, it sure looks purdy!
 19. And despite this being the "FINAL OFFERING", it's been immediately relisted!
 20. My alter ego has entered ;-)
 21.
Well obviously the black one's better for metal. ....
And EVERYONE knows maple sounds brighter...
 22.
How can you pay £500 for a cabinet that doesn't have speakers in it ?
And think about the acoustics in the bathroom...
 23.
haha, very sneaky. I already entered before this thread, but I made the 'share post' visible only to me so as not to spam my friends on FB. ...I'm not very good at this whole "social" media thing.
That's also cunning! Though in that case you're still signing up for future pseudospam from the page you've liked.
 24.
Black headstocks are for black basses and Gibsons.
...and for Contemporary Japan Strats with black scratchplates (and the back of the neck):
