Who is this precocious two-year old, and where can I read their post?
-
Hi! I've found that unlined are pretty hard to come by, so I don't think you'll have a problem finding a lined bass. Other than that... I'll echo what's been said: ebanol is like Marmite. (Although I love Marmite and hate ebanol!). And try to get something that's like your current bass, otherwise you may find there are too many different parameters to which to adjust. (I had that problem when I got my Hohner B2V as my first as so far only 5-string: Eek, it's got an extra string! + Eek, it's got no head! + Eek, it's got no body! = 2 Eeks too many!) Enjoy!

I used to have a thing for rated bassists, but I'm over them now.

Excellent, a timely reminder that slap can be musical!
As a massive geek, I wonder about lin-nux, vs. lie-nux. However as we linux users never actually speak in real life, it's never come up.
Neither! Somewhere between linn-ux and leen-ux, as in http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3c/Sv-Linus_Torvalds2.ogg.

You say Aguilar, I say Aguilar, You say Hartke, I say Hartke, Aguilar, Aguilar, Hartke, Hartke, Let's call the whole thing orff.

I think David Gilmour is on record as saying that The Wall was basically Roger whingeing. Loved the earlier stuff though. At fourteen I went to a quadraphonic (vinyl) hi-fi demo and first heard the beginning of Breathe - it still sends shivers down my spine.

Whenever I walk past this shop I think "They've spelt that wong!"
I list 99% of my items with a start price of 99p and no reserve whether the item is worth £10.00 or £500.00. This creates interest and gets people watching and bidding. Last week I sold a lens that jumped in price from £43.00 to £124.00 in the last 6 seconds of bidding....Some items don't make what I expected but overall my items go for very good prices. Paul
This for me too. Listed a load of LPs at 99p and saw some that I thought were gems go unsold, and another fetching up to £30! Just proves I know nowt, I suppose. -
Saw a couple of masterclasses - Chris "Fatty" Hargreaves & the back end of TM Stevens (oerrr). Hargreaves was great, I hadn't heard him before, and will definitely be seeking him out. I get all the stuff about Stevens being inspirational when he's talking, but the music didn't do anything for me! I also got to try a few 5s... since switching to the "floating thumb" technique I found them much more straightforward than before. By some miracle I came away with my credit card unviolated!

I finally succeeded in printing off my ticket so will be heading off shortly! (...in my Mr Greedy T-shirt.) -
Sorry for the short notice an' all, but my band And Again have been shortlisted to be played on Absolute Radio tonight, hurrah! We need to get zillions of people to "like" the following link on Facebook: http://www.facebook....240275092730717 It's a bit confusing... apparently you need to Like the post by Emerging Icons for it to count... although if you were to like the band's page itself as well we;d be very happy! (And if you're not a Facebook member and are curious please check us out at http://soundcloud.com/andagain, http://www.youtube.com/user/AndAgainBand, http://www.reverbnation.com/andagainuk.) THANK YOU! Richard
What are the chances of getting a tshirt printed up tomorrow with my avatar on?!
Pretty good, I'd say, and an excellent idea! I think my local Snappy Snaps does this, dunno what the lead time is though. -
Do you have the PC version linky? I too may be "seduced by the scroll"

Good work, "csh" (one for the old UNIX lovers/haters...) I will indeed be randomly wandering on Sunday, hopefully mostly in the direction of the masterclasses and performances, and away from temptation. -
Hi, Planning to be there on Saturday, my first visit. Hope to bump into you all there. Are you using twitter #LBGS2012 to try to track each other down? @aegelton Eggy
Oooh, very hi-tech. A twitter-literate (twitterate?) friend asked if we were having a "tweetup". I'll be there on Sunday. Saturday is John Cage Musicircus at the Coliseum! @rasearle -
Hi, Emily, and welcome! Bands from where I was born - Ilford - not a clue. From where I am now - Tavistock - Seth Lakeman and my band, that's about it. Nope, there's the adorable Kitty & The Lost Boys. Mustn't forget them! What a line-up!
Yep, as a native of Plymouth I was dismayed at the poor showing from my hometown in the annals of pop!
