6.
It's still for sale under a new listing: http://www.ebay.co.u...016.m2518.l4276 There's something really dodgy about the bidding pattern on this. I don't know the story but my alarm has been rung. Be careful...
agree - this was previously listed and removed by ebay. I got the following message. : We think eBay account gwa7957_t4ntchye has been used without the account owner's permission .... (etc.). The description is awful and doesn't really sound like a genuine Wal owner, or bass player of any kind. As it's COC there's less worry, but I wouldn't go alone and hope it's not too long a journey to Ponders Green (NE London ?). I think this is the third or 4th listing (currently no bids) :- http://www.ebay.co.u...K%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

 9.
Up! With new tuning machines Gotoh!
was there an issue with the originals? (Schallers?). This has got to be a candidate for long(est) term thread (!!... commenced 24th Sept 2013, last BUMP'd Feb 2014).

 11. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1966-fender-jazz-bass-/141896992736? bona fide? .. didn't think the block necks were about then? Messaged re. the 2 bolt/screws missing from the tuners assembly; amazing if they've been like that for 50 years !! Sorry if mentioned before - had a look/check but couldn't find the same bass...................
 12. This is a bargain, and a great P bass. I got it via a trade against my Lakland 4402dlx. and Aidan got to see/play it before buying it for the £650 it 'effectively' owed me. It was in good condition, played nicely and came with the Fender case. I wasn't aware of the ususual nature of the flamed body - Aidan sourced that info and has also spent a lot of time perfecting the frets and micro-cleaning the bridge etc. I'm not sure as to whether the body was swapped later or if it was the type of thing Fender did at various times (using existing stock parts that may not have been originally intended to go together). Previous owner was very genuine and had owned/played the bass for years.

 15.
I'll take it.... PM sent
Is(n't) this your old Dave Wilson modified 75, Mark?
 16.
Reduced price
?... OP price/trade value is £2k, with nothing since (?)
 17. I'm thinking of passing this onto another BC'er if any body is keen. Everything is there, although the soundpost has dropped. Painted f/board has been stripped to reveal maple, which has been treated with Rustins PLastic Coating (used it on FL basses before and it's great - similar to Jaco's concept but easier to apply/finish than boat epoxy!). Two bridges. Excellent cover & stand and I could include a set of the new/gold tuners (as cost) if preferred/wanted.
 18.
What?sorry I dont understand
Typo' Jay - you obviously meant a weight of 7 lbs (pounds) not 7 lps (Long Playing records), hence the amusing response........
 19.
I assume they come with the Allen screws?
Yes, of course!!.. hadn't realised that the grub-screw didn't appear in any of the photos. But each knob has its own allen (grub) screw which tightens/locks against the pot' post.

 23. I Have a 6-string (rosewood/graphite-headstock-cap) earlier version of the Cirrus and can recommend this as an exceptional bass for the price. Great build quality, tones and playability. It's a shame the PV's didn't ever really take-off cf. other makes - I don't think these custom shop models are available any more (?). The ONLY thing I didn't like on the bass were the 'bling' (gold+abalone top) knobs, so I replaced them. Looks like Jay's 5 has also had these replaced with some nice wooden knobs (although this might have been a CS option upon order). Great fitted case(s) also:-
