3.
Wow, those look killer! Were the tops cut from the same piece of wood? They look so similar!
Thanks. Yes - tops taken form the same piece/section of burl-poplar; same with matching headstocks.

It required a lot of work (as you can see by comparing my ebay listing photos with those below), + both replacement / refurbished parts. I'd still be interested in a more perfect example. The bass I sold on (as described) was a great player /complete once it had been re-built, but nothing more. Leduc U.Bass lined fretless 5-string: lightweight swamp ash body, floating spruce top, 3-piece maple neck, and lined ebony fingerboard. Bass features the "floating" top for which Leduc U.Basses are famous: effectively a hybrid solid-body / acoustic bass; the ash body is hollowed out and the bridge rests on a floating spruce top which is braced like an acoustic. It gives you a DB/eub)tone: very warm and "woody." The LaBella 'Deep Talkin' Bass' nylon tapewound strings (as currently fitted) add to this (and they're ultra smooth to play / very low tension). The mini headstock (truss-rod/s beneath) /clamps are designed to work with regular strings... so no need for double-ball strings. 34” scale; 1 & 7/8” nut; 10/18mm string spacing (nut/bridge); 7 & 3/4 lbs
  5. Marleaux Signature 4's (fretted / fretless) :-
  6.
At first glance I thought the first pic was a cake. That is pretty nice, man. How does it play etc?
Thanks Tt - exceptional instrument for that DB/eub tone in an electric bass guitar. Christophe Leduc still produces the U.Bass (which has changed slightly in design over the years), so it will be featured on his website. It would be my #1 FL bass, if I didn't have this one :-

Looks lovely Pete, and know from experience the quality of JS' instruments. Could you add some photo(s) inside the control cavity and specify what was 'duff'/changed - has the bass been altered from the original EQ / pots. etc? (or was it JS who performed the rescue work?) Cheers.
  9.
Not to piss on your bonfire, but I'm pretty sure any of their basses could be custom ordered with a roasted neck ( I could be wrong). Very nice bass though.

It was limited. I've seen barely any Classics with a RN!
Anybody have any links / photos for this? According to an EBMM Forum section I've just been reading there was NO option for Classic(s). This is what the Moderator has to say, with most info / responses coming from an EBMM CS rep' called 'Dargin' :- Big Poppa Moderator Join Date: Feb 2005. Location:Coachella & SLO, California. 10.
Yeah, it was a custom option only available during a month some time ago
Appears that it's not available generally on Classic(s) :- http://www.music-man.com/news/product-announcements/roasted-maple-necks.html * Available on all models except the Classic Series and Floyd Rose equipped guitars But might have been a limited offer in August 2010 (?) :- http://forums.ernieball.com/music-man-guitars/45715-roasted-maple-necks.html

  12. Listed (withdrawn) previously:- http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 .. now available again. AFAIK this is the only EBMM Classic Stingray created with the 'roasted neck' (and ebony board) as generally fitted to the Family Reserve models. Can be accurately described as mint/new and comes with ohsc, most of the original 'candy' and an orignal EBMM black pickguard in addition to the original t/shell. There's a bit more info in the link (above) and I'll add some further details/specs at the weekend - but it's pretty much std. EBMM Classic with unique extras. Plays / sounds great. Photos :-

MarloweDK (Thomas Risell) is well worth checking-out for tips on how to do pretty much anything. Sorry if this is mentioned elsewhere !!
  15. Recent deal with Nick, conducted without any problems - even though he was in Turkey at the time ! Highly recommended - prompt PM's and everything went smoothly.
