?.. I thought it had been 10% FVF for quite some time; but to a maximum of £40 ??
.. this is the first time I've quoted myself!! Was this (10% up to a max. £40) never the case?! If it was, then they're reverted back to the more complex sliding sum+% scale that (I thought) the simplified 10%/£40 was brought in to replace (without me even realising). I agree that 10% (with no limit) is going to be really too-much if you're selling something like a high-end bass or gear. For the cheaper stuff it won't be so much of a 'hit'. What's the usual commissioned-sale rate these days, from the music shops? Paypal was (?) 3.4% + 20p. Not sure if this has been changed. My advice would be: if they're going to do this, then list your bass/gear for 10/30 days, see what sort of response, questions, offers you get - then pull-it in the final 24h. There are plenty already doing this - just using the ebay site for advertising really. Many of them also include their contact (mobile) number. Use ebay to sell small/other stuff (to maintain/increase your profile & Feedback).
I've just read that ebay are planning to increase their sellers fees for guitars from 3 to 10% of final selling price. So if you sell that sexy 70s jazz for £1500 they'll slap you with a bill for £150. As the boy scouts motto says "Be prepared".
?.. I thought it had been 10% FVF for quite some time; but to a maximum of £40 ??

Korg Microkorg Synthesizer Vocoder In excellent (new) condition - no scratches, scuffs, damage etc. Comes complete with Power supply, Vocoder microphone (still straight!), manual, midi/usb lead and is in original packaging - so fully complete. Used for a couple of projects only. Link for full information: http://www.korg.co.uk/products/pro_keyboar...k_microkorg.asp This is an excellent, well-known keyboard - this particular model is no longer available (limited edition, with the reversed black/white keys) although they do seem to produce other LE's (red etc.) from time to time. sold (incl. Courier)

Was keen to keep this, but as a seldom used/required 4-string, it seems a bit of a waste. It's by far the best and nicest Fender/other Jazz-4 I've had: build quality, finish and playability/tone are all exceptional. There's been one recently sold on BC :- http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=121275&hl= and another - possibly unsold (at that price!) - on ebay :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT Specifications:- Fender Custom Shop Limited Editon 1970 Jazz Bass 2-piece premium ash body Quartersawn maple neck with '70s "U" shape and gloss urethane finish Maple fingerboard with 7.25" radius (184mm) 20 medium jumbo frets 2 Vintage Jazz Bass single-coil pickups Bridge pickup 1/4" closer to bridge Volume, volume, and master tone controls American Vintage Jazz Bass bridge Vintage-style reverse tuning machines Nickel/chrome hardware 3-ply white pickguard Custom Shop Limited Edition decal White neck binding Closet Classic treatment: small dings, checked finish, oxidized hardware and aged plastic parts Weight is 9.25 lbs. As shown in the photos, it's still in 'mint' (but slightly 'aged') condition and comes with all the originally supplied bits. The Limited Edition Custom Shop Basses are rarer than standard Custom Shop models - seems only 100 of these were produced. That (might) make them ultra-collectable ... but it's best played! SOLD!!!

Seems to be dropping to a more appealing price over time :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...3984.m159.l1634 .. although it has been offered/discussed here on BC. Seller seems to be editing the price (started at 'offers' .. then offers from £400) but hasn't added further comments or response to Q's :- http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...hl=esp&st=0 Previous listing:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT (no bids .. where's a i***u (0) when you need one most?!....) .. but it might be worth checking (chancing?) if you're local: the obvious Q's re. the bass have been posted here on BC...
One of the biggest bargains on here for a long, long time...... ..............£1250? Are you sure this time David? absolutely a bargain! hope will sell soon
...Thanks Mick / Antonio ! Not much choice as I need to sell. I'm reducing my 4's to a single fretted/fretless (still deciding on that one - the Vigier was tempting, but I want to keep something more 'traditional') + we'll be off to Singapore (again) July/August - with huge air-fare increases from the last visit. -
... judge me for doing nothing wrong ....
hmmm .. not sure ebay would agree with that: or member d***r ( 34) who might well have paid £390 for a TE Combo he could have got for £300; he was only bidding against member i***u (0) who, as we now know, wouldn't have been able to afford the TE had he won it .....
-
Hmm .. interesting that ebay/brand-new (and ambidextrous) member i***u(0) seemed to be bidding only upon 3 items - opening the bidding for the right-handed ESP (which he won .. but then didn't want, or couldn't afford) and the LH Ibanez bass ... and trace elliot ... (which he managed not to win - luckily, as I assume he wouldn't have been able to afford either of those):- http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...em=170601748453 http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...s_None_ViewLink http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...em=170601753110

.. he's off / it's up again (must finally be back from the holidays). Back up to £175 .. can't be bothered comparing with the previous listing(s), but I'm sure there'll be changes ... :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
