Can't recall - but it's new (not 'off' anything) and could well be Mexican. If you think the shape/holes look right, measure the existing one or neck pocket and I'll compare. I'd also be OK to take it back if it did't fit or couldn't be slightly modified (which is often required with the generic ones).
...........................I hope Eubassix does not mind me hijacking his text and a couple of his pics...... No problem! .... assuming the bass is still as it was described and photo'd. This IS an excellent bass and looks good with both PG's (I think as they're Sadowsky specific, they're best kept with the bass as they wouldn't fit other J's). I really liked the tone as it is, but the option of 'upgrading' the bass for $75 with Sadowsy's own VTC is also worth considering!!
Hi. Would you sell the Model B separately, and if so how much posted? PM me if you would prefer. Regards Shaker
I'll send a PM but it's something I'd certainly consider if I can find a buyer for the Pickup + Pro-EQ Platinum. Photo:-

JUST the Fishman unit(s) now remaining ! I also have the Fishman Pro-EQ PLatinum (acoustic instrument version) which I could substitute for the original Bass EQ, but would have to discuss the pricing. The Pro-EQ Plat' is a much more comprehensive unit with various controls + switches and sliders, XLR-out, Tuner-send etc (and costs about £150 new). I'll add a photo here when I have one/time

Vigier Arpege Fretless (lined) 4. Delta metal f/board. ... SOLD !!!!!

(bump).. thanks guys for the +++ comments & Doc'otb for the additional information. Not sure of the precise woods used in the neck section (it is neck-thru, but not easy to asses the wood/s through the black finish). There is a truss-rod .. and am in total agreement re. the FL sound; it's one of the best EQ's I've encountered for a FL bass !.... -
I was (am) planning to put this up on the Vigier Forum but unable to do so unless they reply re. my lost (forgotten) password - so, with some recent interest in Vigier(s), thought I'd mention it here: Black Vigier Arpege fretless bass with the unique Delta metal f/board (lined). Full parametric EQ with cut and boost, plus active (on or off). Coil tap switch. Two jack sockets, one for DI (bypassing circuitry) and one using the circuitry. Super action. With original case. Bought new in UK (1987-8) - must be one of the first to have been imported. Extremely versatile high-end instrument. Active electronics powered by two 9v batteries produce powerful output. A few minor marks (mainly headstock edges and a couple of small bruises/dings on the neck - f2 on the G side; f7 on the E side) plus a cover on the back of one of the machines missing (awaiting a response from Schaller re. this), but otherwise in very good and original condition (as shown in the photos) and with no modifications. It also comes with an early/original Vigier hardcase (rectangular/fitted) which I've not seen before. You have several EQ/sound options: straight out of DI (top jack socket) which bypasses active circuitry. Side jack socket and using the parametric - one knob selects frequency and the other cuts or boosts (active circuitry still not yet in use, but great sounds). All ON - using EQ with active electronics (you need to pull up the volume control for the additional boost). Not used the coil tap switch much … but it's there if you want it. Using the combinations of parametric EQ and active switch as well you can access some absolutely awesome sounds. Controls as originally supplied on this bass:- The potentiometer (knob) near the bridge pickup = volume + boost @+20dB (pull-up the knob) Pickups toggle (3 positions: Neck - Both - Bridge) The next Knob/control is the ± 15dB potentiometer that controls the parametric EQ (pull it up to put it on) Next to this is the parametric pot that allows you to choose frequency between 80Hz and 4,2 kHz (*does not work if the previous one - Parametric EQ is not pulled-up) Small toggle puts the pickups out of phase (only when both pickups are selected) Last is the tone control potentiometer (knob). There is the jack (side) and also a direct output (top). This is a series I Arpege, hand crafted and completed in Nov.86 £SOLD inclusive of Courier delivery (UK)
I did wonder if he was you in disguise! That answers that, then...
Not me - although I wish I had the resources and time (!). I'm wondering if it's one of the local guitar shop owners judging by the amount of stuff, plus the prices. In the past 90-days (from Feedback) he's only bought a couple of guitars - (60's Strat and another totalling about £2k) ... but has sold 22 items @ £45,0000 (!!!!!). Only 5 were basses (most of the gear is electric or acoustic guitars - high-end stuff, but of no interest to me) - but all were vintage or high-end instruments, including a 70's Musicman and a couple of 70's Fenders. -

Just out of interest, has anybody had any contact/dealings with Mr. 'sunburst_59' ?? With him being fairly local to me and having so many interesting basses (and even more guitars) up on ebay regularly, I have messaged him (thru ebay) on a couple of occasions. No reply ever received. He states that local collection/cash is OK ... but doesn't seem keen to have the basses seen/tried locally (?). Or maybe the ebay messaging system is just not working (or blocking?) again......... -

£15 seems fair (?) and is bottom-line. There are a few similar on ebay ranging £20-30:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BILL-DICKENS-THE-COL...=item4cec145a1e http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bill-The-Budha-Dicke...=item2c517f1bf3 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bill-Dickens-The-Col...=item2ea929e8fc http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bill-Dickens-Collect...=item3ef09fef22 ... This is an Encore PK40 (I think) Precision bass in sunburst. It's not the short-scale version. Plays well, has a bit of flame in the headstock and the sunburst is nicely done. Serves well as a decent starter or backup P bass. There's one bruise on the top (doesn't show in the photos) but is otherwise excellent. I could find a gig-bag (or hardcase - but might cost almost as much as the instrument!) for it (@ cost) but otherwise just planning to sell/send as-is.
I'm looking for a light weight bass to replace an old heavy jazz bass for reggae gigs since my back is bad and I'm still too young to sit down. It needs to sound very deep, smooth and punchy, I only use the neck pup with the tone rolled off and no mid or treble on the amp. I also use heavy flatwounds for an old skool dub sound. Do you consider this bass suitable ? PS You can get an idea of my sound by visiting my reggae band's myspace page here.
With the bass set-up as you describe it should be fine. You might need to adust the nut-slots and truss-rod for those heavy (50-110's?.. it's currently on 40-100's) FW's. I did use FW's on it for a while and the sound was much deeper/heavier - they were still lights though (40-100's) Hope this helps! -
