1. Clearing stuff:- 1. Jazz style (Celinder) pickguard: this was fitted to my 'revised' Me'Shell bass before it was restored by Chris C. Would fit a Celinder or other custom / similar J's. £15 posted. 2. EB Sterling HS metal/CHROME pickguard. This is SOLID (and heavy). Beautifully made & finished: really adds something (including a few extra grammes!) to any HS Sterling bass. £25 posted. 3. New / unused Liberty Lead (need to check the length, unless it's mentioned on the photo). Decent quality/connections. £12 posted.
2. HIPSHOT BT1 detuner: mint condition. here's the range / applications:- http://www.basscentre.com/hipshot-d-tuners.html These are listed at £75 at TheB.C. but I'm sure I've seen them at £60 elsewhere. 3 (of 4) screws included (along with the postage) - one didn't align properly into existing holes and was put somewhere too-safe for safekeeping. Should be easy to match/replace (or to use existing screws on bass). £36 posted.
3. Thanks Sean. PM replied. Yes - spent some time enjoying the delights of Co. Kerry. Not far from Chris Larkins place (Castlegregory)
4. Thanks Mick - hope you're enjoying the fish (... it's Good Friday)
5. Sorry - I did attach the photos in a logical sequence, but they have come-up all assorted-like !!
6. Need to shift one as I only really need 1x J bass and also need the ££. The Sadowsky came via a trade and is a decent example of the Metro RV4: Metroline RV4 Olympic White/Rosewood Fingerboard, Alder Body, T/shell Pickguard, Noise-Free Sadowsky Pickups, Vintage Tone Control Installed, Sadowsky fitted Case. Has suffered some dings (see photos) but these are mostly on the bottom edge and back (nr. rear cover), plus one small chip. There are a couple of very minor ones on the top but, as you can see in the photos, the visisble part(s) of the bass & neck are just fine. Comes with the original Sadowsky fitted case - also good condition with minor scuffing on edge(s). £on-hold/sold (inclusive of delivery). The Bacchus I bought as a clone-replacement for my Me'shell Celinder whilst it was away. Specs are: Bacchus Woodline J - Classic; Alder body; Maple neck with vintage finish; Rosewood 22F board; HMC-JB-ALV Pickups; Vol + Vol + Tone; Tuners - Reverse action Gotoh GB11W; Bridge - Vintage, Spiral type. Comes with a gig bag. There's a bruise/ding (lacquer not broken) on the 'E' side of the neck, around F11. Not felt in play. Otherwise it's excellent (some minor marks on the bodu y, but so minor they're unable to photo). Really excellent Vintage feel, sound and typical of the Bacchus quality. Not seen another in this colour. £599 (incl.) If you want more photos, PM an email address. PayPal Payment would have to be 'Personal' (no charges) or +4%. Other payment methods also fine.
7. ONLY the Ashdown BASS Envelope Filter remains. Decent offer accepted prior to ebay relist (had about 20 watchers... why do they do that?)...
8. Had the pleasure of meeting-up with Neil recently to buy a bass. Instrument was (is) excellent and exactly as described, and had a great bass-chat and a cup of coffee. Highly recommended BC'er !!
9. Bought FX pedal recently from Mark - would like to leave totally POSITIVE feedback. Great communication throughout, excellent package. Easy and pleasant transaction, very highly recommended !!
10. Sorry - been busy and almost forgot about this listing (aminly due to the total lack of response / excitement). CasaP' - sorry (again!): still need to check-up on that one. Other than that , let's have a weakended BUMP
11. Final Bump-Reminder for the coming weekend.
12. Sorry (John) - forgot to link in both directions (Porn/4-sale):- http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=44158 ... only really contemplating a sale if the Kinals don't go (by any means of combined sale/trade etc.). Prefer to sell as a pair (as built/intended) or - if not viable - then only if sale of each confirmed. I'm really hoping - as you probably can tell - that I don't have to let them go (and would let just one-of-two go) unless the 5's don't go somehow.
13. Hmmm ... thought I'd give this a bit of a kick/bump, as despite a lot of initial interest it's all gone quiet over here. Would still prefer to sell as a pair (as original post / OBO). Individually, I'd be willing to come down a bit on the fretted bass or to entertain some quality p/ex (trade) on this one. The FL will, I think, sell without too much trouble. If I can't sort something with these, then may have to keep them and - instead- sell my Marleaux Signature's (fretted + FL 4's). .. which will be a great loss (and expensive to buy). These are about €4k each now, so would be looking for around £4500 ono for the pair (!) http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...amp;hl=marleaux ... better to go for the Kinals really!.. 2 more strings and about half-the-price ?!
14. .. already 'selling' on ebay (one bid/10-watchers) at effectively £41 incl. ....:_ http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=160323815402
15. SK 102b now definitely SOLD (and posted). Rockson model still available: decent Wah (similar performance to Dunlop CB)
16. absolutely no response as yet ... I'll wait over the w/end and then stick them on ebay: any other good sites for Book sales??
17. Title edited to reflect what's sold/available
18. Again, thanks for the positive comments TF, Mr.DB, MBA & Ff - I also thought this would sell pretty quickly @<£500, but guess it's a sign of the times. There are currently more nice basses on BC than I can recall from the past, mostly unsold (though greatly admired). I might be letting-go the 5s version of this.
19. Remaining 3 pedals are now all on ebay. Scheduled end is Sunday evening 5th April - so plenty of time to remove if PM'd/sold here !
20. Having a(nother) major clear-out and looking to shift some Books. Most are directly or indirectly MUSIC/Bass related, with a couple that are specialist Art and a couple more Cultural (if the Mod's decide these are not permissable, I'll happily remove them of course). I've tried to price based on the Amazon good/used pricings as most are mint (read once and kept on a bookshelf) - although these are sometimes vast in range (e.g. the large Escher Collection ranges on Amazon from £36 to £152 !). Re. postage: I have no real idea with books, so could either accept payment (PP Personal is the best current method - no fees) and then cost the postage separately before sending; or I'm happy to send upon payment for the book and trust you to PP the postage costs when I've sent the book(s). All appear on Amazon if you'd like to check on details (to avoid excessive wording here). 1. Jaco Pastorius (Biog.incl. CD - played once): £8 2. Sting - Broken Music (biog.): £5 3. The BASS Book (Tony Bacon) : SOLD 4. The Ultimate Guitar Book (Tony Bacon): SOLD 5. John Peel (biog.): £5 6. Live Aid (official): £5 7. Blue Book of Guitars and Amps (1st.ed): SOLD 8. The Jazz Singers: £12 *9. RockSchool Bass Books 1 & 2 (with CD's): £18 10. Escher: The Graphic Work: £15 11. Escher: The Complete Graphic Work: £50 12. A Day in the Life of China: £15 13. Yellow River: £12 14. Yorkshire by Air: £5 15. Little Britain, Ser. 1 & 2 Complete Scripts: £12 ... I also have a boxed set or 'CrossRoads' (Eric Clapton), which includes the 4 CD's and Booklet inside the box (when I find it). Need to check on this one re. pricing, but happy to accept offers if anyone's keen. *bought for my son who was intially keen to learn. Used Bk.1 a few times only. Bk.2 is unused. I think these were about £15 each.
21. Having bought a decent Morley Dual Bass Wah, have a couple of older and more basic WAH pedals available. Both are in excellent condition. 1. RockSon CB Wah-Wah pedal. (with blue top section). Made in Taiwan. Fairly lightweight and works well as a basic, functional WAH pedal. Accepts 9v DC or 9v battery. Some scratches to bottom plate but otherwise excellent + excellent working condition. £18 posted 2. SK SoundKing - model no. skam102B: (all black). Made in China. Very heavy unit which doesn't offer a great deal of 'Waah' but does have a decent effect as a sort of combined mini-Wah + Boost pedal. Accepts 9v DC or 9v battery. I used it for Wah(minimal)/swell effect, but it could possibly be improved by some internal fiddling or replacement of the 'pot. The unit / casing will probably last for ever (!). £SOLD pending (most of this being postage I would guess, as it's about 2kg.!)
