1. Don't blame you mate!
2. Basically the only difference I noticed with active basses is that they tend to have onboard EQ and loads of treble. Never liked the mid voicing on any pre's i've used either so I just stick with passive
3. I prefer to use open strings for accents as you get a much more aggressive sound when you dig in (ie more highs and mids) than a fretted note
4. Hahahahahahaha that first one! Oh man what the f*** were they thinking?
5. Man this is cool and a ridiculously good deal... If only I had the money!
6. That is a badass bass mate!
7. Don't be silly... pedals are so much prettier
8. I'm very much the same! I'm considering getting a decent multi fx unit for the effects I am less bothered about. That way I wont be wasting lots of space or money on things that only get a few seconds of use per gig
9. But you just know buying a bigger board will create the temptation for more pedals
10. Markbass/Epifani seems to be a popular combination. Though I've not actually used Epifani cabs myself I can definately recommend Markbass heads! They are super clean, and you can really cut through and be heard without dominating the mix. If you want a bit of dirt you will need to use a pedal or something but it looks like you've got that base covered already
11. That looks sick man Rotating a cab onto its side won't alter the sound... But it will help to distribute the sound a little better, and bring the speaker slightly closer to your ears! I had my old 2x10 set up this way for almost the whole time I owned it... unless i was on such a small stage I had to tilt it back into monitor position!
12. I say go for it too... You shouldn't have trouble shifting it again in the unlikely event that you dislike it
13. It it pretty unneccessary when you have side dots... plus it looks better without! But like many above have said, it makes it easier to show somebody else which frets you're playing
14. That's one thing that puts it above the Line 6 M9 in my books! Can't wait for them to become more readily available... It's going to replace at least 4 of my pedals on my board!
15. Never heard a Guvnor but they seem loads more popular than the Jackhammer which i'm a HUGE fan of
16. Haven't clicked the video as I'm on my phone but is that the valnott?? Sounds great on bass
17. He's supposed to be your friend and he treated you like that? I've have knocked him down a peg or two. If he didn't like it I'd tell him to turn the other cheek... then slap him with my cock
18. This is a slightly newer version than mine, which I also paid £250 for... with a visibly higher build quality! These are the only passive 6 stringers anywhere near this price range worth looking at in my opinion anyone could do worse than giving this a bash!
19. Yeah, with the general laid back nature of the forum a simple explanation and apology would have surely been enough for the majority of us, provided the sale be completed... But as it stands I seriously doubt our good buddy Sean will ever be welcomed back by the community. What a bloody shame
20. Bad times man I hope you'll be replacing it with something big and heavy just for playing at home with! I would actually well have had this off you if my car insurance wasn't up for renewal! It's only a hundred more than my F1 would sell for. Dammit! Ah well this should go pretty sharpish
21. Norfampton is de best that's why How come you're getting rid of it Steve??
22. There are quite a few songs I play in my cover band where I don't follow the original bassline to the letter. If it's close enough and compliments the song that's usually enough. If anyone picks you up on it just say you're altering it to prevent copyright infringement
23. Just seen this http://www.samsontech.com/zoom/products/guitar-effects/g5/ Looks like a B5 might not be far off!
24.
It's not worth the hassle to let these people get away with scam after scam (and it is a scam, if they don't put in the effort to learn something, how they think they can charge for teaching it is beyond me).
Never thought about it that way, but you're right! It would be like me charging for someone for a guitar lesson... I wouldn't dare!
25. I take it nobody's seen MarkClothes yet then? http://www.musicianworld.it/
