1. It looks like a huge pile of death... But I like that
2. Wow. f*** that noise. Just get a Markbass LMIII and a Sansamp/VT Bass. They'll never break down, cost a lot less, and youll have SO much more flexibility
3. Never seen a Stingray in this colour combo before. Lovely!
4. You'll get a lot more control over the effect it has on your instrument's output. Depends how much you need it though, the Ampeg might be enough for ya! You could even look at rack mounted wireless systems too!
5. Mudpup is after an sr505/506, might be worth dropping him a message
6. I prefer having effects in pedal form so they're easy to turn on and off Maybe try a rack compresor though? The DBX ones are quite popular and not too expensive
7. This is an AMAZING deal. Not only is the LMK discontinued and highly sought after... but the 'little mark' style 2x10 combo sells for over 1k new!
8. Is that a PAPER bridge?
9. Wow this looks better than the Line 6 offerings! GAS and a half
10. That's a good deal for just the bass on it's own! Wonderful necks
11. I agree with them not wanting people to promote or discuss other brands... But the issue with talking about problems is ridiculous. It'd make sense for them to stop people coming on just to say that their basses and guitars are a load of w***, but that's about it. Surely it'd look better for them on the whole if people could openly discuss and help eachother with any tech issues they may have, especially if employees of EBMM could jump in and offer advice, help out, whatever. Showing existing/potential customers that you are committed to good customer service when a problem arises is surely more beneficial to pretending there never are any problems?
12. Looks beautiful. And everything Andy Viccars touches turns to gold so there's no way anyone will be disappointed with it!
13. Jaysus! If I had the money they'd be gone
14.
If the engineer can do it (and the PA/monitors can cope) though, this is absolutely the best way of getting a good out-front sound.
I totally agree dude. But i fail to see what the point is in a relatively small venue when i've already told him my amp is plenty loud without the PA EDIT: I've just remembered the majority of younger metal bassists that I've come across who don't realise that the volume knob can go anti-clockwise... It's probably best not to trust us!
15. Woah this sounds like it could kill the Super Twelve T
16. The only experience I've had similar to this, was then the sound engineer asked us all to turn our amps down... But this was only so that he could turn the monitors up! We were still loud as f*ck... Just sounded abslutely crap
17. A Fender Deluxe Precision 5. It's got that humbucker at the bridge which is capable of J AND Ray tones
18.
So can no other bassist compare with Jamerson?
That IS true though
19. Welcome to BassChat! You're having fun playing, and getting to do quite a lot of it! Regardless of how good you think you are, you're doing it PROPERLY Keep it up mate
20. I have respect for some pop artists even if I really really can't stand the music they make. I've only head a couple of singles by Jessie J before and i thought it was just more irritatingly catchy throwaway pop crap... This video shows that she's actually amazingly talented and yeah her band rock too! It's nice to be pleasantly surprised sometimes
21.
I'd stick with the SVT3PRO until you've heard a lot more of Genz, Markbass, TC and the rest of the competition.
This, definately. My tastes have led me towards Markbass and I haven't looked back
22. Erm.... Wow! I didn't even know they made these in Sunburst! My love for this bass has just increased threefold! I really wish I had 1k to spare, this would be gone in an instant
23. It's down as a 6 string. How deceitful!
24. These are very good for the money! I only sold mine to get an Aguilar TLC!
25. I tune down to A and use a .152! Although you can try getting in touch with Newtone Strings and asking for suggestions and/or a custom set. They can even do regular gauges with higher tension to handle the lower tunings if that's what you want. Whack em an email
