I like Ashdown amps but I wouldnt use a single 2x10 on a gig, they sound a bit thin to my ears

There's a Peavey TNT130 for sale for £100 somewhere. Some venues out there have those as the in-house bass rig and while they're cheap and heavy as hell they're built to withstand a lot of abuse!

I'm going to go right ahead and recommend a Markbass combo the CMD102P is 500w, or 300w if you havent got an extension cab to go with it. Should be plenty for any small gig

Personally I love the Ric sound and they look awesome. But they're supposed to be uncomfortable to play! Not really a fan of Warwicks but the Corvette has intrigued me in the past, the neck looks very slim, and they also sound awesome in a different way. For coolness factor I'd choose the Ric, but I'd probably be more comfortable with the Warwick... I can see why you're having trouble choosing! Any chance of you being able to try them out and see which is the best for you?
