1. Yeah really tempted by that, and the octabass
2. Wow thats the handiest place ever for the truss rod adjustment
3. Cheers for the info I'm more than happy with my Small Stone, but have heard better choruses than the one I have. I've also heard phasers and flangers that sounded very similar to one another so if i was able to copy the Small Stone sound I could have both in one pedal... and a bit of extra room on my board! Oh i do enjoy researching new pedals
4. Smallest gig was when we played to the sound tech, 3 of our girlfriends, and the guitarist's mum and dad Largest was probably about 90 people. But then we are a metal band so that's probably good!
5. No. I'd beat him to it
6. Played a Markbass F1 through one and i never though so much attack was possible!
7. Phew! Guess the only thing to worry about then is batteries!
8. Has anyone else experienced the wireless jamming phenomenon? I'm strongly considering a g30 but I don't want to get myself lynched every time i use it
9. I don't know my Fenders but even I can see that's not an original Tele neck
10. I like Ashdown amps but I wouldnt use a single 2x10 on a gig, they sound a bit thin to my ears
11. There's a Peavey TNT130 for sale for £100 somewhere. Some venues out there have those as the in-house bass rig and while they're cheap and heavy as hell they're built to withstand a lot of abuse!
12.
Showing the boys the way ! Mind with 10,000 tracks after her name she knows a thing or two
There ya go
13. I'm going to go right ahead and recommend a Markbass combo the CMD102P is 500w, or 300w if you havent got an extension cab to go with it. Should be plenty for any small gig
14. Haha not a bad idea! Having it on the back of the neck is a bit much though
15. Personally I love the Ric sound and they look awesome. But they're supposed to be uncomfortable to play! Not really a fan of Warwicks but the Corvette has intrigued me in the past, the neck looks very slim, and they also sound awesome in a different way. For coolness factor I'd choose the Ric, but I'd probably be more comfortable with the Warwick... I can see why you're having trouble choosing! Any chance of you being able to try them out and see which is the best for you?
16.
The Take It Away scheme was originally available to everyone, but now it is only for people between 18 and 25. For anyone over that age, there is a very reasonable 12-month scheme at 4.9% interest (from us, anyway).
Good to know does 18-25 include 25 year olds? So I could potentially do it a day before I turn 26?
17. What's the flanger effect like on the unichorus? Anything like the Small Stone phaser?
18. I can tell the difference with using longer cables.... I trip over them
19. It's a shame this colour isn't more readily available, I kinda prefer it! Great price too
20. Got a Sansamp in Cash Converters for 60 quid once! Only interesting thing I've ever seen there
21. Wow well done to them for going above and beyond! I tried to buy some 6 string Elites Stadium Series a few times but they were always out of stock sadly. To be fair, with the prices they charge and the great service they offer it's no surprise
22. Many many shops have started doing this. Academy Of Sound has done for a while now and it's actually the first place I heard about it
23. This is a total bargain. I Borrowed the slightly lighter coloured one for a few months and I still miss that sound! It sounded amazing with the original single coils in so I'm almost afraid to hear it with the Kent Armstrongs! Someone should jump on this fast as it's easily worth twice this price!
24. Congratulations on your new baby! Don't worry about the lows, I borrowed one on a gig and it handles a low A no problem!
25. My bass was made in Vietnam, and it's good enough for me!
