Finally got on then dude! Welcome I suggest finding the 'show us your rig' thread and making everyone jealous with your contribution
2. Unlucky mate. To be honest that's the first time I've heard of a Sansamp going wrong! You definately got a dodgy one as they're usually verging on indestructible!
3. On hold! Might be selling the bass, strap, and cable for £180 to someone in the real world!
4. Never had a fretless in front of me to try. Had a go on an EUB once though. In front of people. That was painful!
5. Women ey Looks hot anyway!
6. Reluctantly withdrawn whilst I sort out my financial situation, and begin to rekindle my love for the yellow and black! Thanks to everyone who expressed interest, and sorry for the disappointment.
7. What about 'year of birth basses' for the much younger generation?
8. Join a metal band, you'd get old off FOR smiling
9. I think a smile would have removed 80% of the coolness of that shot!
10. I love it! Can't help wondering what a black jazz with a chrome scratch would look like though...
11. Blimey that's a good price! Pity I already have a good comp
12. Good thinking batman!
13. I..... don't like it
14. Some do, some don't. I guess having the sticker on might help it retain its value. I'd want to remove it for aesthetic reasons, but I may or may not regret making it less of its 'original' condition. if in doubt, find a way to safely remove it without ripping or crumpling it up, and keep it safe EDIT: or just do what PURPOLARIS said
15. Nice collection! And i love the Vai photo/autograph!
16. I tuned a cheap 4 string to CFBbEb for a while, it was only a standard 34" scale one too. No problems whatsoever apart from obviously needing a setup. I didn't even have to tamper with the nut thankfully! You shouldn't run into any problems especially not if you're using a REAL bass guitar
17.
just seen this, cracking pics of you and the wee one.
Cheers bud He's gettin' big now! Must do more bass-related pictures with him soon... But the missus is convinced he's going to be a drummer!
18. Hope you get to play it soon mate. And that Ric looks GORGEOUS with that pickguard
19. That is silly money! I must try one...
20. I've got one of these, well worth the money!
21. Played my bass/FX/head through a MAG one of these at Neon Studios a few times, phenomenal sound! Nothing else by Ashdown i've ever used has sounded the same, but I can't see them anywhere! Does anyone ever see them about? Maybe TIM can shed some light on this for me?
22. To be fair he's really talented! I'd love to have his chops. Some of the lightning fast stuff sounds really cool, It's just a shame that he's just showcasing that mostly, and kinda skips on the groove a bit. I feel if he only plays like he did on the OP's video he's putting his skills to waste.
23. It's a very bizarre issue for a new bass, I'm sure you'll get it sorted though!
24.
is there a difference (and if so what) between noise gates/suppressors?
I've heard many different things. Like that they both work slightly differently, possibly with one isolating certain frequencies, with the other just cutting any signal below a certain dB level I've also heard that they are just different names for the same thing, but that some work differently to others In short, I've no idea mate!
25. Yeah, I'd keep it too mate!
