All the kids are bumming Alter Bridge half to death at the moment. Especially since their most recent album was released. Thankfully I kept to my usual abit of ignoring any hype. Heard them last week in a bar. Boy are they overrated! It's amazing what a good advertising campaign can do to even the most mediocre (or terrible) band!

I didn't even know you could attach things on here I upload pictures and stuff to www.freewebs.com. it's actually for making websites with, but you can upload files there too! It has an option to shrink them down automatically as you upload them too which is handy

For multi effects? I use the Johnny Shred Freak, you can get thatm a mains cable, and a daisy chain for under £30 and i've had no issues with noise yet

Yeah, I've been slowly starting to accept that any lower than that is asking a bit much! It's not like it'd be very useful anyway but it was worth asking! Thanks for all the responses! Maybe one day I'll know enough to be helpful to somebody else on here

That's tough man I feel for you! I'm always happy to give people feedback about their playing, but this sounds really bad and i wouldn't want to risk upsetting or offending them. Honesty is always the best policy though. I would probably take a deep breath, say the recording didnt quite work out, ask them to come round and take a listen, and see what they want you to do with the recordings. They'll probably prefer to hear it themselves than to just be told 'dude your show sucked that night'. Maybe even ask if they want you do do another night in future if you want, giving them a chance to tighten up. Who knows it might be really good for them and they'll end up very grateful Good luck mate!

I've never played one myself, but I've never heard a bad sound come from one! And hey what's wrong with rosewood?

Well you made the right decision for you dude. If you were never gonna be happy with it it doesn't matter how good it is I guess! Most people would kill for a Musicman Stingray 5, but if I bought one for whatever price I'd get rid fast!

Don't feel bad Andy, this time last year I was a bass > cable > amp kinda guy!
