1. I put Schaller tuners on my bitsa Jazz. They do the job - what else is there to say?
2. I bought a Genz-Benz Shuttle from Mark, and the whole deal was great. Lots of communication, met up on time and everything went smoothly. I would deal again with him any time. Thanks
3. I would be more worried about why my strings don't sit in the bridge saddles. Have the saddles been swapped around? Maybe someone rearranged it for left-handed playing or something?
4. For the OP: Can you please explain the concept of reigning in GAS? I don't understand.
5. Congrats - it sounds as though you will make a very happy couple. My Rick is the one bass I would never sell, even though I don't play it in my current band. There is something unique about the feel and sound of a Rick
6. I still use a pair of 1x12 PA cabs with Studio 12Bs. They are superb!
7. I had the same experience with Hiscox. They talked to me about what I needed - and the padding they sent was even the right colour for the case!!
8. It's the start down the slippery slope. Now that you have seen how easy it is - and satisfying - you need to take apart and rebuild every bass you own. Just like the rest of us
9. You're not the messiah - you're a very naughty boy!!
10. Hi there What colour is this? Cheers Greg
11. I sold Ian a Trace Elliot combo, and also brokered a sale on his behalf. Both deals went painlessly - Ian is a top bloke!!
12. GregBass

sold

I can feel myself physically drooling - and it's a great price too. I wonder if my girlfriend wants one instead of her birthday present ....... Have a bump and good luck with the sale.
13. You could try Bluebass Guitars 01206 543171. They supplied me with a Mighty Mite neck at a good price.
14. I made a Jazz from a second hand Mex Fender body, new Mighty Mite neck, second hand US pickups and some Schaller machine heads I had lying around. Total cost to me was maybe 250, but I don't have a clue what its resale value would be. It's a great bass though .
15. Where is the Like button when you need it?
16. Bought rambam's Markbass cab - an easy deal with great communication. Thanks, Roy
17. Congratulations, Ian. Good job!!!!
18. That is gorgeous.
19.
Yeah, but you're, like, old, innit..?
Damn - sussed out
20. Jeez - you lot don't know you're born. My first bass was an Egmond. I can't find any photos, but it was a forerunner to the Lucky 7. It had a neck like the handle of a cricket bat, held on to the body with two screws. As far as I know, no truss rod. A single pickup was screwed to the end of the neck, with the controls on a floating scratchplate held to the body by one clip. It had an in-line, non-adjustable bridge so there was no intonation adjustment. The bridge was also floating, so the intonation changed song to song. This bass is now in bits in my loft. I played gigs for a year with that before upgrading to an Epiphone ET-280.
21. Looks gorgeous. I was in Corby yesterday too
