1. I haven' t seen it but it sounds like it was Lee Pomeroy.
2. For me it's not so much dark stages as the occasions when you are lit from the front, and the side of your fretboard (black dots on maple) is cast into shadow.
3. Selling as I was recently lucky enough to pick up a s/h RH750. A great head- engineers have loved how clean sounding it is. If you're looking at this though, you know all about these heads. £370 delivered to most UK addresses. Comes with mains lead and original manual all well packed in a TC box. In very good condition with all controls and knobs intact. http://www.tcelectronic.com/rh450/ Cash sale only, no trades thanks.
4. Still coming down after seeing these guys on Saturday. What a great vibe- the drummer was sensational (Robert Searight?) and Cory Henry is the coolest cat on the planet. I'd happily watch them several times over. The only downside was seeing Chaka Khan with Incognito barely 5hrs earlier. I could have down with a few days to digest that first. Too much fun in one day for Minehead!
5. Southport Weekender. Will be seeing Chaka Khan there the day before too. Not your average weekend in Minehead I can assure you.
6. Yeah this is his regular 4 string Jazz bass, but I agree- he's way more than just a slapping machine. This album's release coincided with me getting into him big time- saw him in London around the same time ('97-'98?)
7. I'd give you £400 if I could have your singer's voice too :-)
8. I think it could be- a few years older but a good match
9. Hi Ian, Good luck with the sale mate- don't worry, things are moving really slowly on here.
10.
One of my favourites http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Rec3DCKy7Y
Superb.
11. Nice job- JJ has a very distinct style. I saw him with Holdsworth around 1989 in Newcastle- funnily enough Rufus Philpot was there too as he was a year above me in college. Obviously my career has gone much better than both of them :-/
12. I had this on DVD (lost it!!!)- lovely intro solo but I especially love the subsequent palm mute descending line into the first verse. That's the money moment for me :-)
13. Purchased a bass from Chris- him being one of the well-established members on here gave the ad extra 'oomph' for me but the feedback on this thread says it all. A good guy and obviously highly recommended by me, and many others.
14. I was a fan of the '96 production at the Lyceum. Steve Pearce on the soundtrack (poss in the live show too)- the cast were phenomenal. Google may prove otherwise but Steve Balsamo was Jesus (great rock voice- superb head voice) and Zubin Varla was an epic Judas- completely disturbed and uncomfortable with himself. Brilliant show in its opening weeks. Loved the show ever since I played a semi-pro production in my late teens.
15. Just sold and shipped a bass to Jose. I'm lucky that all my transactions on here have been smooth and this was no exception. Super friendly (and pleasant) comms and a swift and easy transaction. It was nice chatting via PM Jose- enjoy :-)
16. I don't buy or sell a lot but when I do, I always think "I wish I'd started a feedback thread the last time"
17. Sharay Reed. This one first http://youtu.be/q_KuD0AjWdE Then this one http://youtu.be/pATcvr3zAhg
