COG Pron Thread

I recently got a B3K which I like, but I would like more distortion.I think that fuzz maybe too much so was interested in the TK-421-X. Do any of you TK owners have an opinion on the TK vs. B3K, is it worth considering or should I look more at fuzz? Does anyone have a sound clip/demo of the TK? Thanks Verb
4. After seeing the pics in the build thread, how about Metropolis
5. If it has failed I would just replace it. Warwick has an online shop but the postage cost can be high. Warwick strap locks are often on eBay. I put my strap on the part on the bass, and use the other part to stop the strap falling off.
6. If you get a sax player, you could include some Inner City Unit,Gas Money is a top tune.
7. Motorway city,Levitation,master of the universe,Urban Gorilla,Needle gun,anything of chronicles tbh
8. I've heard people use very fine wire wool to polish frets before, never used it myself, but mask off your pickups or they will be covered in tiny bits of wire wool. I polished my frets with Solvol Autosol metal polish about a year ago, coincidently,I'm cleaning my fretboard tonight with lemon oil and the lemon oil is removing the tarnish leaving the frets shiny again. I protected the fretboard with masking tape when I used the Autosol.
9. I was wondering if anyone had used Sfarzo strings and could give me a review. Cheers Verb
10. Even if it is marked as a gift, any imports worth over £36 are subject to import VAT,and goods over £135 are subject to customs duty, but this is waived if the duty is less then £9. If the parcel comes via Royal Mail they charge a £7 or £8 fee for processing the import duty.
11. No worries Roland, there are some great pics on there. You could always give us both a like. Thanks for taking a look
12. Hi Basschatters,I've entered the Warwick Facebook photo competition, and was wondering if I could get a few likes from the good people on Basschat,to give me a slight chance of winning :-) https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.416614758466265.1073741853.140072052787205&type=1 My entry is the one at the Tae Kwon Do club. Thanks to all and have a great festive season.

14. The standard string spacing on a Warwick is 16.5mm,but it is adjustable up to about 17.5mm.
15. Hi, AFAIK the knob pulled up totally bypasses the EQ,the adjuster on the PCB is to set the signal level of the active EQ in relation to the bypassed/passive. You may have a none standard EQ,this could have been installed by Warwick when built,it could have a Bartolini EQ. Post a pic of your electrics to help ID them. http://www.warwick.de/media/manuals/Electronics/60055%20rev2.pdf
16.
Does anyone know if these are a straight swap for MEC active PJs as found in a Warwick SS1?
I replaced the passive MEC pups in my German Fortress with the standard EMG PJ set, they were a straight swap. The pots even have smooth shafts to fit the Warwick knobs. You can check the dimensions on the EMG and Warwick or MEC websites
17. Due to a change of plan,I have 4 stalls standing tickets for the above gig that I need to sell. I am asking £44 pounds each, which is what they cost me with the booking fee. I can post them 1st class recorded for an extra £2 or you can collect from Stourport or Kidderminster. Gig is this coming Thursday. Thanks for looking
18. I don't think there are any Warwick dealers in the UK at the moment.I read somewhere about a shop that was going to start selling them, somewhere in the east,Norfolk or Suffolk I think. You can order directly from Warwick on the web shop but I think they only sell at full retail price. Warwick Distribution are based in Hailsham,it might be worth getting in contact with them. Warwick will be at the London Bass Show, you could ask there if you are going.
19. Hi, I posted this on the Warwick forum a while ago,it doesn't have much info. but it might be of interest to you. http://forum.warwick.de/showthread.php/12251-Framus-bass-alert!!! Post no.12
20. Hi, I would like to build a cab using a 3015,but don't know all of the technical side for designing the cab and port sizes. Would anybody here mind giving me some pointers on these details or a source for calculating them? Cheers Verb
