1. I like some of Alice's tunes, from both his old and new stuff. Plus I saw him at Reading once, and even though I'm not a big fan, the gig was awesome. But when he presents on the radio, I absolutely cannot stand him. He comes over like an arrogant, un-funny bore.
 2. Just bought Harry's MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe. Everything as it should be. No dramas and that. Deluxe, even!
 3. How's the viper working out of you? I really like the look of these in trans red. I think guitar guitar has some good deals on these at the mo. How is it for balance and dive?
 4. I usually get stuff around 8 or 9 days
 5.
I think this amp is a mono, 300w valve amp. There are two i/p channels, but only 1 power amp. It will deliver 300w (valve watts...) into an appropriate cab (8x10..?). There is no bridging mode (only 1 amp...) and cannot be 'bi-amped'. Could be wrong...
What's the thing when you put a patch cable between the two inputs?
 6.
bi-amp or bridge?
Well, there you go. I don't know. Maybe the other fellers terminology was wrong
 7. I'm asking because I was looking at an Ampeg SVT VR which has 2 channels. I was told that each channel was 150 watts, but to get 300 watts like a CL you'd need to bi-amp it. Is this true, and how would it be done?
 8. All in the title really. What is Bi-Amping? How does one Bi-Amp?
 9.
That looks absolutely gorgeous! Any idea what kind of finish you'll put on that lovely bit of wood?
I was keeping it a secret until it was done, but what the hey. I'm going for red with gold metal-flake, like this Mosrite..
 10. Just had comms from the Doc. He's done a dry build, all the hardware, electrics and strings on. He's plugged her in, and he's saying 'instant growl' Just need to sort the scratch plate and truss rod cover, slap some paint on and away we go!
 11.
The thing that always surprises me about the whole meeting up thing is how so many of us pay a visit to see Howard (Bass Doc) yet I've never bumped into another basschatter whilst there! I thought it would be like a hub for meeting other basschatters.
Have you seen the state of the road outside his house? Only BC'ers with 4X4's need apply!
 12.
Haha, you mean there isn't some overlord BC committee that authorises and oversees these things??
Yes there is. You give me a tenner, then you can please yourself
 13.
The only one I've met so far is Gust0o. Thoroughly nice chap and built like an outhouse.

Aw, you say the nicest things!
I must have heard that one wrong. I was convinced you said he was a Sh*thouse.
 14. It was Stings' Dad who was the milkman. Mr Sting was a teacher (geography I think).
 15. Is this the same as the SVT Classic, but in a different box with an Eq?
 16. Try giving the Matamp factory a call. Google for the number
 17.
Intrersting. I didn't know they Greasebucketed (sic) basses, thought it was just a guitar thing. Is it the same part values or somehow bass-specific (resistance, capacitance values)? I actually had a Greasebucket installed in my Fender Tele Baritone as I don't use tone knobs very much so thought it would make it more interesting. Haven't reached a conclusion yet as I haven't used it enough. I won't be turning back though. My Tele Jag has a Stellartone Bari-ToneStyler installed which is very interesting compared to the unused tone pot. I'd put them in more of my guitars if they weren't so expensive.
This explains a bit more and shows values on a Strat circuit. It's a mod that you would be able to do yourself. 18.
Pardon my ignorance, but what's a greasebucket?

I would like to know also

Have you tried googling it ;-)
Or indeed looking through the forum? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/178616-cabronita-cs-pbass-grease-bucket-circuit/page__p__1687179__hl__greasebucket__fromsearch__1#entry1687179 I had KiOgon make me one for my build, and I like it very much. No mud
 19.
Tortious (1) TORTIOUS: Being in the nature of a tort; in common law jurisdictions, a civil wrong which unfairly causes someone else to suffer loss or harm resulting in legal liability for the person who ... (2) TORTIOUS: Contraction - "This tort is scrumptious!" (see also Chillax, Frenemy) .
Flan
 20.
Has anyone else experienced this kind of 'forward-into-the-past' -type weirdness, or am I alone in this?? And if so, do you have any advice?* What pitfalls should I be looking out for? What happened?
I got back together with a guitarist who what was my best mate when we were 16, and played in bands together till our 20's. This was a couple of years ago. All was going swimmingly until his 15yo daughter and/or mates nicked £80 out of my bag round his house. That kind of killed it. So, my advice is to stay away from each others children, especially if they are the light fingered types.
