1. You've got Kit all light, ethereal and lovely, while Nige is all mean, dark, brooding and moody. A contrast, a juxtaposition if you will between the forces of dark and light, good and evil, leather, and lace, and wearing a hat and not wearing a hat. Looks ace, hope you had a blast
2. Nice..
3. Looks great, and I bloody love goat curry, me. Cardiff's a bit far, but hope you have it large
4. [s]Went to see this bass today.. http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1423.l2649 If you are watching PM me for info[/s]
5.
sh*tty chrome hardware black looked so much better
Do you think? I always thought that the classic TBird was all chrome HWare. I was thinking what she needed was chrome Pup covers, but each to their own. BTW If poor old 'Doc' Epiphone can mistake a through neck for a set neck he must be one of those Homeopathetic Doctors, and a pretty poor one at that. But you have to admit, this is a very handsome bird.
6.
...around £800 at Key Music, plus free delivery. Ordered a vintage sunburst model this afternoon. P
Congratulations
7. Agreed, a lovely looking beast. One thread running, take a peek.. 8. This is monel that Roto use. I thought they had made the name up TBH, but it's been around for a while.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monel
9.
I use steel. Nickel isn't healthy for your skin.
How is that?
10.
Sean, no worries mate, I think the idea is you pay £15 and get a day's worth of music. But I totally understand your position mate. There's no on the door price AFAIK. The Bush Hall gig should be cool, it's a lovely venue, hang on for that one man. Be lovely to see you both. Cheers x
Ixnay on the xjamoay iggay. Eesay ouyay at the Ushbay iggay.
11.
I'm just back from a Junkyard Dogs gig in Uxbridge where the band was actually asked to play Mustang Sally (which wasn't in the setlist), and kindly obliged. The crowd danced and sang along.
... and they were asked to turn it up!
12. Just back from a cracking gig watching The Junk Yard Dogs in Uxbridge. A very friendly crowd. Perhaps the first time a Pub Manager has come up to me and said 'can you tell the band to turn themselves up?' Priceless!. And the chaps were sounding spot-on. I'm sure there'll be a few photo's along in a bit.
13. I find stainless roundwounds are like cheese graters, where nickel ones have a softer feel. I've been playing flats lately though, so will make less of a difference. My flats were Roto's finished with something Roto call 'monel', some kind of nickel mix, but it feels bloody lovely. Maybe stainless give a more zingy tone, but I like things smooth.
14. Surely the geezer says he will donate a tenner from an email address, and then Ped's PP account shows a deposit from that email? I think it's decent enough that the OP was letting something go for a donation to BC. There's plenty (including me) who would trouser the cash, no matter how small the amount. Props to RhysP

I think it looks pretty cool, and it's different so what the heck!
16. Gah! If it's £15 a pop this might be a bit prohibitive for me and The Bones coming. We'd just be turning up to watch Nige. Please could you confirm entry on the door price. We might just hang on for the Nov gig
17. I'd love to get my old one back (well the same model). Light maple colour, single P type pup, all brass hardware, same logo as this one. I think the headstock looks most handsome!
18. Nice! My first bass was a Thunder 1a. Wish I'd never let it go, I've had a lot worse since.
19.
But if the buyer is not implicated in any 'wrecking' then it's hardly fair to land him with the loss is it?
How about the bass has arrived 100%, the buyer had had a fiddle, damaged it and is now chancing his arm?
20. I saw that bridge thing too, but TBH just thought it would need a proper set-up. Damn these bargains when my pockets are empty! I was hoping the winner was a member who could give us the skinny on that bridge!
21.
Lovely cab. Someone buy this and unleash its potential please. (Nice DHA pedal btw ;-)
Cheers Rol. The DHA is working out fine, great piece of kit, every home should have one!
