1. I tested both these cabs yesterday. All is in order and working as they should. I can't really tell them apart though, they are both identical and lovely!
 2. I like the look of Sandbergs, but never played one. I should've had a go on the lake placid blue relic'd one I saw in guitar guitar down in Epsom, but I was suffering from guitarshopitis at the time. Anyway, I fancied a bit of sumptuous-ness this morning, and came up with this..
 3. Sorry to miss the above , but a treat was had by one and all when me and the Bones went to see the Terror Tones. Appypollyloggies for the crap pic, but here is our very own BRX starring as 'Rex St.Clair' ripping it up something wicked.. Great Stuff!
 4.
Jack fries another 1000watt Orange Terror head!! Rock 'n Roll Baby! \m/(>.<)\m/
Is it not last nights onion bhajis?
 5. Was trying to do both, but me and The Bones is off to DV. Have a good one!
 6. Helping and supporting BC'ers who are going/gone through this... I'm voting cancer research.
 7.
I used to have one of these seriously top pieces of kit, struggle to find a better 212 anywhere !!! have a free bump on me Cheers steve
Thanks for that Steve. It is very very good quality.
 8.
But how cool would it be to get all / almost all the UK members together...unprecedented?
Yes, and we'll sort it out once and for all.. On the cobbles!
 9. Primed and ready to go..
 10. In the mean-time, grain filled and sanding sealer...
 11.
What about a mix of both? http://www.njxt.com/...img/jm5/jm2.jpg This way you get a black bass but retaining the wood grain visible and IMHO the bass looks sexy in this colour, i don't have much love left for plain black basses...
I've been talking to Marc about a change of tack and getting some kind of translucent finish, but in his opinion the grain on the wood is not up to snuff, and after all when I ordered it, it was for a solid colour finish. Plus I was looking for a very light weight body, so he chose accordingly. If I wanted that kind of finish it would have to be spec'd early in the build. I was looking at his vintage sunburst on a Tele, and it's something to think about in the future maybe?.. I think this is lovely...
 12.
...snip
Very nice indeed
 13.
just a quick suggestion.......... bass centre tech chris does one day a week at their new location of bagshot ,which is just next to `berks`..... hope this may help.........
Bagshot is not far at all. Thanks for that
 14.
I have a man in Kent who is ace.
Aye, so we've heard
 15.
Depending where you are you might try Peter Hall in Gerard Street Brighton who did a good job of rebuilding my Marshall Superbass...mind the only link I could find for him was on another forum, one as a rec followed by & no no no from someone else. Don't understand that one as the work he did for me on the rebuild and also my sons Engl seemed fine. Who knows?
Thanks for that. It might be nice to find someone in the Berks/Bucks region. I think there is a recommended Amp menders thread around here, I should have a look. Failing that I might have a few days away up North.
 16.
Ah bummer, I was looking forward to hearing it at the Bash as I was pretty sure I was going to change my rig, probably out of my price range but would have been good to hear. I've used Steve before, very good but as Hamster says very busy and I think he still has a pretty good day job nearby. House full of amps and a little upstairs bedroom full of meters, valves and repair equipment, great stuff! Good luck on getting it sorted, looks an awesome piece of kit.
Cheers Pal, good to meet you too and thanks for all the help
 17.
Hey did you resolve the problem with your amp?
Hi Col, not as yet I'm afraid . I called Matamp and they ran through a few things, non of which sorted it, plus checked all the the fuses and they were fine. They would sort it for me, but I'd have to get it too Huddersfield and it's a bit of a trek. Hamster recommended I try Steve's Amps in Surrey, but he's flat out and not taking any new work for a couple of months. That's as far as I've got.
 18.
That'd be amazing, a pair of wee buttons hidden in the headstock or some such, one flicks through colours, and the other swaps to transparent.
Exactly!
 19.
Great pics! Looks like it was a lovely bash. Wish I could have been there. I will be at the next one.
You better come, or you'll get bashed. Bashed for not coming to the bash by all the bashers from the bash. So don't risk a bashing, don't be bashful and come to the next bash.
 20.
Man, that is gorgeous. After seeing the body though, if it were me, I wouldn't be able to have it painted.
Cheers DS. I'm feeling the same way. I'm wishing there was a magic paint that the bass could wear like a coat so you could change colours and show off the woody goodness! You never know, someone might invent it.
