1. A great afternoon was had a this very exclusive gig. With some sweet slide guitar and some very sweet bass courtesy of Happy Jacks' '65P, OBT and Barefaced compact. I could not believe how good this cab sounded and how light it is. I played Roadie for a while and for those of you who don't know this kit, it's stupidly light. But, of course the high point of the afternoon was seeing MacDaddy in full flight with his shocking pink Twisted Sister Jay Jay French Sig Epi Les Paul.
2. coming. setting off ina mo
Don't drink too much and go easy!
Perish the thought! Just about to set off
3. Hey, I think I can make this. I can get the 81 from Slough.. Boo ya!
4. This week I've been working a 12 hour shift in a 'compost' factory on Oxfordshire. That goodness for London Zulu's banging tunes for the drive home. A must see gig for BC'ers.. Can't wait
5. Wow! Lovely. You're right about what you say about both Pup's in phase. She's a beauty, why are you letting her go?
6. Aye, good old Shippers, up to his art again. You never know, he might have the last laugh and we'll be discussing his authentic knobs 50 years from now.
7. It looks very nice, but I read 'Roasted Maple', and now all I can think about is Pancakes.... Mmmm Pancakes.
8. One of my first memories was playing a pile of old china like 78's that belonged to my Mum on a (Decca?) mono player. I must have been about 6 maybe 7, around '73/'74. Without a doubt this was what started it all for me. I'm now back in our old kitchen watching the record spin on the deck. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you 'Freight Train' by The Chas McDevitt Skiffle Orchestra featuring Nancy Whiskey.. 10. Worst spaghetti I've ever tasted
11.

Now, hang on. That sounds familiar
12. I'm figuring you mean a 6 string? I think it's.. E,B,E,G#,B,E. So all strings open will make a major E, and a straight barre on each fret makes all the others. I think.
13. Gah! Not going to be able to make this. I've lost my blinking wallet, so all my cards are stopped, and no cash till monday. Talk about a weekend killer. Hope you have it large, and i'll see you in the near future.
14. I'm thinking about getting out the house tomorrow, so might get along. Will let you know.
15.
I really like quite like that.
It's some piece of work. I like it too
16.
doesn't stop him on Ebay or making threats. Didn't before he copyrighted the stuff either.
He seems like a sad man that misses the point and alienates his market, but, meh, all this has been said before. If things had been done another way, maybe everyone would be waiting for the day to finally arrive when they owned their first Ric. Oh dear, what a pity, never mind.
17. From what I've gleaned on other threads, Mr Hall has only copywrited the head-stock, so in this case it would appear there is bog-all he can do. Do you think Lemmy's had enough of Mr Hall, too?
18. In my general looking around at stuff, I've come across these guys... http://ruttersguitars.com/ I like their vintage nickel hardware. Just wondering if anyone on the forum has had dealings with them? I've done a search, but nothing comes up.
19. Cool. But tell your band not to forget their sundries in future

Low morale?

Maybe it's just a cyclical thing. I do feel (some) people post deliberately contentious statements, and it's got the rise out of me, but the next day I feel dumb for biting. The key would be to avoid Off Topic, but then you miss out on some genuinely good stuff. I've said this before, but I've met a few BC'ers and they are all genuinely good people. I was left a bit cold by the recent Annoying Person/Bigot threads. I couldn't understand what the fuss was about. I've conversed with Paul H on the forum, and have met Silddx in person. Nige is a top geezer, and I'm sure Paul is too, and it's a shame to see them sniping. But, not everyone is going to get on all the time. And it still seems to be simmering on the new Class thread. I spoke to WPD (Who I once perceived had slighted me, and I PM'd him to let him know) at Clarkys gig on Friday, and it was his feeling that I took things on BC too seriously, and I think that is a fair comment. But typed communication is easy to misunderstand when you lose inflection and tone. Maybe it's the weather, who knows, but I don't think the state of Off Topic is too bad, but the policing of the forum is down to the mods, and it's up to them how they act. I don't always think they are right, but they're not too terrible either. For my own bad-self I'm avoiding direct confrontation, If I have any problems I'll take it to the mods. I'm not sure if you could equate issues on BC with the state of affairs in the country on a wider scale, maybe, but maybe if we had a bit more sunshine more of us would be outside!
21. Damn! Sorry to have missed this, and I just stayed in the house watching movies. By the way, I loved Stump back then. I have a memory of you playing Glastonbury in '87? I was there. Big big fan of your playing... much much respect
